Each member of Sloan recently stopped by the XM radio studios to talk about their new album "Parallel Play" for channel 52, The Verge.

The result is a track-by-track album commentary which will be aired across the XM satellite network on Canada Day, July 1st.

It will air four times throughout the day: 4am ET, 10am ET, 4pm ET and 10pm ET.

People can listen on their XM Satellite Radios on XM52, The Verge or through Rogers/Telus cell phones or on line via their streaming Internet feed. In the US it is at www.xmradio.com and in Canada at www.xmradio.ca.

Special thanks to Kelowna both for her technical skills, and for having the tenacity to actually get all four band members into the studio for their interviews.

Sloan's 9th studio album "Parallel Play" hits the streets today in Canada through Sloan's own murderecords label, in the USA & Europe through Yep Roc Records, except for Spain where Bittersweet Recordings do the honors. High Spot Records in Australia will release the album next week.

"Believe in Me" was last week's most added song on Canadian rock radio, entering the charts at #44.

It has also been featured as the myspace single of the week and is available until Monday the 9th as a free download on Sloan's Myspace Page.

Sloan's ninth album, "Parallel Play", will be released next Tuesday, June 10th.

We will be launching the album with a taping of a performance for MSN Sympatico's Orange Lounge series. This will be filmed live at the Tattoo Rock Parlour in Toronto on June 10th, and broadcast via the internet on the MSN Sympatico website.

Sloan have been given a limited number of passes to give out fans. Please e-mail info@sloanmusic.com with "Orange Lounge Passes" in the subject to enter the contest. Two passes will be given to the first 20 people we hear from. We'll alert the winners via e-mail and the passes can be picked up at the door next Tuesday night. Please note that this event is 19+.

We are also playing a NXNE showcase set on Thursday June 12th at 8pm at the Mod Club. NXNE wristbands and passes will be accepted and a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
