i'm in the states...is there anyway i can download the song? OR, is there anyone out there who can send me an MP3 audio file?

I had the radio playing in my room while i got ready for school, and this new and cool song that i had never heard before came on......and i thought - 'this is very sloan-esq, i wonder who it is?' After listening for a few more seconds I realized that it was undeniably Sloan's new single "All Used Up". AWESOME!! Now that it's out, make sure you all request it!!

This song is some flashy pat-rock. wowee.

Another great tune from one of Canada'a greatest and underrated band!

I listened all day and heard it twice. It's very undeniably Patrick's best recent song!
Yay for Sloan!
Miranda - April 3, 2005 11:49 am
I love the new song!!! ;)
Hannah - April 4, 2005 10:37 pm
You also love Patrick, so it's a good combo. ;)

"You can say that again"

i've only heard the song once on the radio, and i just heard half of it... and everytime i hear new sloan, i'm always iffy about it at first... so i'm not sure how i feel about it yet... clearly, i should listen to the radio more... CLEARLY....
anyone been listening to the new jp emergency... hot ass!
Chester - April 5, 2005 4:38 pm
actually it's solo stuff, no emergency. and yes its amazing.
Hans - April 5, 2005 6:54 pm
I think I preferred it when the closest band you could compare Sloan to was the Beatles. For the last little while it's been more like Whitesnake or Trooper.

Throw us a bone in the USA, place an audio sample so we can hear the NEW WORD of GOD (SLOAN). Keep on Sloan-in and Roll-in
Morrigan - April 6, 2005 1:25 pm
anyone been listening to the new jp emergency... hot ass!
Joel, or the song? (wait, this is a Sloan board.)

Nice, solid rocker, Patrick!
Dante - April 8, 2005 3:39 am
Call me crazy but while Patrick has proven yet again that he can write a super-catchy, riff-heavy rock song, I find myself wanting a new Jay pop song instead.
Morrigan - April 8, 2005 1:36 pm
Ditto above.
The RZiles - April 8, 2005 2:14 pm
thanks for the link, we folks stateside get no sloan info via radio coz radio in nyc SUCKS and they're only the most talented 4piece in rock today..
all used up, junior panthers, in the movies, coax me, etc. So amazing that this is all from the SAME 4 guys. u can see how they're a marketing exec's wet dream AND nightmare at the same time.
long live the almighty sloan.......
and, yes, we're about due for another jay masterpiece, no?

I myself have been serioulsy missing Andrew's stuff when AP came out, his songs from the last 3 albums before that (PT, BTB, & NB) are all favorites of mine! Andrew Rocks, especially on 'never seeing the ground for the sky', seriously, grab a set of headphones and play LOUD.
Dave Read - April 11, 2005 4:27 pm
I agree re the Andrew tracks, I just made a compilation of only his tracks from all the albums (I still need 'Helen' the PT outtake though), very sophisticated pop production on all of them a la Revolver/Peppers/Pet Sounds...so underrated.
