Our friends and families in eastern Canada can rest assured that they have not been forgotten, we are planning a September run of university and club shows that will cover the maritimes.
Thanks again to everybody who came out to the western shows and helped make the last couple of weeks such a success.

In September, please play Charlottetown. The new student union center at U.P.E.I would be a suitable venue. The Island needs a Sloan fix. They haven't played the Murph's birth city since 1997.
Lisa (Halifax, NS) - May 16, 2005 5:04 pm
It would be great if you could hook up with the Stones in September in Moncton!
EdSo - May 16, 2005 5:32 pm
Sloan? on a Saturday night? In Philly? Pinch me! See you @ The North Star. Already picked up the tix. We are going to rawk out - Philly style!
Andrew - May 16, 2005 5:42 pm
Woohoo! play Antigonish!
nippleholic - May 16, 2005 6:59 pm
bah...play Toronto for once! :p
Mariko - May 16, 2005 7:33 pm
Don't forget Japan~
SCott - May 16, 2005 10:02 pm
Best of luck on the new tour - wish you were heading back to Atlanta. Next time you're here...
Ryan - May 16, 2005 10:27 pm
I would love to see you guys open for Pearl Jam on their Canadian tour in the fall.
Michelle - May 16, 2005 10:34 pm
Great show at Cowboys in Winnipeg. The best Sloan show I've been to yet.
DP - May 16, 2005 11:06 pm
Uhhhmm, you're coming back to L.A., right?!
Rob - May 16, 2005 11:43 pm
wow what a fucking rockin show at cowboys in winnipeg, best sloan show yet!!
nippleholic - May 17, 2005 12:43 am
I echo the sentiments of them opening for Pearl Jam...those would be killer shows...
nonone - May 17, 2005 10:00 pm
fuck Pearl Jam, just come to detroit again, i needs me some Sloan.
ps - don't have the show at St. Andrews unless you are ready for the intense heat that the place produces in the summer.
freaksloan (ohio,usa) - May 17, 2005 10:43 pm
Come back to Toledo. And the hell with Pearl Jam, who the hell is Pearl Jam? If anything Pearl Jam shoud be opening up for Sloan.
Mano - May 17, 2005 11:52 pm
I have to agree the show at Cowboys was amazing. Come back soon!
nippleholic - May 18, 2005 12:21 am
PEARL JAM OWNZ JOO ALL!!
Rich U. - May 18, 2005 3:39 pm
I'm so glad to see Sloan is coming back to Philly...I got worried last year after the Mother's Day show because of the poor turnout but the North Star is THEE perfect place for a band who knows what rock n' roll is all about! I can't wait to see them in NYC also!
SLOOOAAAANNNNN!!!!!
michelle - May 19, 2005 9:07 am
um, how about putting together some west coast dates???
yes?
Beth - May 19, 2005 1:46 pm
They just finished the west coast Michelle (see tour history for month of May 05). Played about a dozen shows.
Jackie - May 19, 2005 9:42 pm
T-O-R-O-N-T-O! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mike - May 20, 2005 3:05 pm
B-U-F-F-A-L-O THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Duff McKagan - May 20, 2005 8:44 pm
If Sloan opens for Pearl Jam, they will have to quickly draft some new songs about teenage suicide, won't they.
Billy Gene - May 20, 2005 10:20 pm
Yeah, caught your set set at coachella. Holy fuck!!! Your latest album is a sizzler!! Met the singer. He said I looked tough!
Andrew - May 20, 2005 10:46 pm
Jackie. we got one in Barrie thats pretty good consider it as Toronto
Jill - May 21, 2005 8:27 am
I noticed NONE of the good bands play in Nova Scotia... yes, that means Sloan.
Jeff from Nashville - May 21, 2005 12:12 pm
You guys were way too great when you came to Nashville, TN, USA last summer. Any plans to hit the south US this year? We would be much appreciative and I will make all my friends come this time.
chris - May 21, 2005 3:02 pm
Billy Gene, which singer? All of them sing.
Nikki - May 21, 2005 3:07 pm
I'd really love to see you guys rocking Europe! London, UK in particular as that's only an hour from me and I am just absolutely aching to see you live. In the meantime, I guess I'll just have to make do with my CD collection :-( Keep up the great works boys and I would die to see you crack Europe (or I'd just be really happy with the UK!) next! Love, love. x
riley - May 22, 2005 12:52 pm
anyone interested in the bowery ballroom show in nyc should also know there's a second night - 6/14!
yaz - May 22, 2005 5:18 pm
I don't think you guys have ever seen the BC interior!
Time for a visit, no?
Hopefully, we'll see you in the fall!
yaz
josh - May 22, 2005 8:27 pm
"I noticed NONE of the good bands play in Nova Scotia... yes, that means Sloan."
That is a lie. A million good bands reside in Nova Scotia and we have some pretty good bands come through.
With that said I am very excited at the prospect of seeing Sloan.
lemon - May 23, 2005 10:46 am
please come to Fredericton when you come to the east coast in september your last show here was awsome and also it would be sweet to see you with the stones in moncton or pearl jam i halifax because a sloan set would add greatly to either of these already awsome east coast shows
also when you come back through try to bring either the trews joel plaskett, matt mays or THORNLEY that would be awsome
thanks
Joe - May 23, 2005 12:12 pm
So, Sloan come's to New York on a work night....very uncool for me. As it is right now, I am out of work because of a dislocated knee..trying to get the time off to get from CT to NYC, and back again is going to be next to impossible, after I get back to work. Oh well, better luck next time for me.
Mary - May 23, 2005 5:13 pm
play sydney nova scotia in september. dear god, play sydney, or glace bay, or anywhere on cape breton, please.
Richard - May 24, 2005 5:11 am
Hey Duff McKagan, that isn't cool man. A good friend of mine comitted suicide in high school and it always annoys me how much people treat teen suicide as a joke.
- Richard
Scott - May 24, 2005 6:45 am
Hey guys. You ought to come to Bloomington, Indiana. Its a great, rockin' college town, and some cool folks. I'm a huge fan, and I've never seen you guys live; it would absolutely make my year :) If you can't make it there, maybe Indianapolis, Louisville, or Cincinnati would tickle your fancy...
Mike - May 24, 2005 4:16 pm
You guys should play moncton it would be awsome maybe even hook up with the trews that would be awsome to as long as i get to see you guys play
you guys rock!! Mike
Chris E - May 24, 2005 8:59 pm
I can dig a Sloan-Trews tour.
Ryan P - May 24, 2005 9:34 pm
A Sloan-Supergrass one would be even better
kenny p. and poo - May 25, 2005 10:00 pm
But the best would be a Sloan / Donnas show.
hey sloan, come back to Winnipeg soon, I missed you guys last time cuz you were all sold out! I'm not really all that choked about it though since I've seen them 7 times already hehe, I should give someone else a chance to see them.
suggestion: playing Cowboys is much too small a venue for a band like Sloan, and it eliminates all those under 18 from seeing them as well. I got my buddy's 16-year old cousin into them and a couple of her friends like them too but they couldn't possibly go to the show cuz it was at frickin' Cowboys!
Scott Stalcup - May 26, 2005 9:37 am
I agree with the other Indiana Scott. PLEASE PLAY BLOOMINGTON!!!!! I'm right on the other side of the Greene/Monroe culture warp so that's right in my backyard. Venuewise, Second Story or Axis would work just great, or (if it's still open, I don't know, things seem to close on a daily basis over there, case in point, Karma Records) Rhino's for an all ages gig, though I imagine the boys could pack IU Auditorium. What about playing Lotus Fest? They played Birdys the last time through IN and I was too broke and the drive is way too long. Really would like to ask them if they got the Revolver parody I sent them copies of all those years ago as thanks for being such cool people.
Let's play WAKWAK!
Becky - May 26, 2005 12:41 pm
I cant wait till Sloan plays the friendship festival!!! Ive been waiting to see sloan live for ten years now. Ill be there front row with all the other amazing fans!! I dont care if i have to hitch hike ill be there!! CANT WAIT!!!!
Steven Sime - May 26, 2005 12:55 pm
I thnk a Sloan/Redd Kross tour would be amazing.
JOEDICK - May 26, 2005 1:50 pm
I believe sloan and Red Kross have already toured together...
devin is cool - May 26, 2005 2:43 pm
i raise my glass to the b side. jerk faces.
Hannah - May 26, 2005 4:48 pm
Becky, my Sloan posse and I will be on-route to the Friendship Festival when the time comes.... we will have just seen them at The Kee the night previous. We just can't get enough apparently.
Jackie - May 27, 2005 2:47 am
I know Barrie is semi-close to Toronto. I guess that'll do. I went to the Waterloo show back in April and that kicked ass! The only thing is the drive out to cities like Barrie & Waterloo is pretty far and makes the trip home really late. People in Toronto love you! We want you back in the big city!
Justin - May 28, 2005 3:38 am
I hope y'all can come out to Charlotte, NC to play. It's a good sized city with several colleges, such as mine, UNC Charlotte. I've listened to y'all ever since I was a teenager in Michigan. I've talked to people in NC and had a conversation about your music, so there is a fan base down here. I really hope you can make a stop here though. If not, how about Columbia, SC, Raleigh, or Greensboro?
Mahalla - May 28, 2005 10:28 pm
Holy...crap!!! Sloan you guys rock! not only are you playing in Buffalo in two weeks. But do my eyes deceive me? You are also playing the friendship festival..in fort erie in july....wow that is literally a stone's throw away. Two sloan concerts, one summer all in a 5 km radius, WOW! Priceless!!! See you guys soon!
Erich - May 29, 2005 8:18 am
TWIN CITIES/MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL!
We are patiently awaiting our date with Sloan! I would even be willing to throw a poolside BBQ for them if they return to us this summer!
Peace, Love & Bobby Sherman,
Erich
Danny - May 30, 2005 1:11 am
The only show you guys are playing in the Boston area is an 18+ show and I'm only 17... I'm extremely disappointed by this that I will not get to see you guys play.
sean - May 30, 2005 2:23 am
Hey Guys thanks for that rocking show at cowboys.
Been a fan since junior high and never went to a show until then
Unreal.
When I first saw the video for the good in everyone it changed my life
Sean (the guy in the 'where's the beef shirt')
Andrea - May 30, 2005 11:15 am
I'm with Erich on the MPLS/St. Paul. Well, not really "with" because I don't know him. I would even be willing to attend his poolside BBQ Sloan party, even though I'm not invited. Unlike Erich (and in many ways, I may be), I'm not patient in my waiting. Sloan, I came to you last year in NYC, so please make the trip here this year if you can. Even if you can't. And if you don't want to go to Erich's, you could come to my house, and we could sit on a big stump and drink beer and play with my Mr. Microphone.

Becky - May 30, 2005 7:01 pm
Hanna i have just noticed that our boys are playing the sound of music festival in Burlington on June 18!!! This makes me very happy considering i live close to burlington. this dosent mean i wont be at the friendship festival i have meny lost sloan years to make up!!!! This is going to be an amazing summer!!!
John Diaz - May 31, 2005 9:17 am
COME BACK TO THE UK!!! IT'S BEEN SO LONG, IT FEELS LIKE YOUR LAST VISIT WAS A FALSE ALARM.
HOOK UP WITH ALAN McGEE AND GET IT SORTED!
Tanya Kearney - May 31, 2005 11:31 am
*Ahem* I heard about this festival called HILLSIDE *wink wink* That is pretty rockin' .. Good old Sam Roberts will be there to hang with .. along with other AMAZING bands ..
*cough* I think Sloan would be a nice "surprise" showing there ..
*HINT HINT* Play HILLSIDE! July 22-24th!!! That would be so hot.
Hannah - May 31, 2005 5:15 pm
Becky, we are also going to the Burlington show! See you there too! We'll be front and center.
Three Sloan shows in 2 weeks.... life couldn't get any better.
Ryan P - May 31, 2005 7:44 pm
I agree with Tanya...I've been urging Sloan to return to the Guelph area for months (they were in Waterloo in April, but that was right in the middle of exams!!). Therefore, please do Hillside the honour of playing alongside great bands such as Sam Roberts and The Arcade Fire and blissing everyone out with your amazing musical talents.
Holly - June 1, 2005 4:30 pm
If they Stones can play Moncton, why won't Sloan???
C'mon guys!!!! Don't forget the Maritimes!!!
Becky - June 1, 2005 8:29 pm

Miranda - June 2, 2005 1:23 pm

Dan - June 3, 2005 1:01 am
It's great you'll be back in Buffalo soon. Rumor is that you're doing an in-store while you're here. Any truth to this!??!
AJ - June 3, 2005 3:28 pm
I am psyched for Sound of Music in Burlington. FINALLY A GOOD BAND'S GONNA PLAY. They are the greatest Canadian band other than Rush. BTW, if any of the boys from the band see this, know that I'll be there, I'm the BIGGEST RUSH FAN IN THE WORLD, and if you guys played In The Mood, i'd be in heaven. IN THE MOOD, PLEASE! Just like the Fubarz soundtrack. Anyone remember that movie...
Josh - June 3, 2005 5:51 pm
Seriously you guys have to stop in Moncton. If the Rolling Stones figure they shall stop in Moncton, I'm sure you guys could do the same, even top it off by being one of the opening acts. Do it, I dare you ! But other than that, SLOAN=greatest Canadian band.
Who doesn't remember Fubar AJ?
Hannah - June 3, 2005 10:15 pm
Dude, if you're FUBAR, you aren't supposed to remember. Gosh!
Terry - June 5, 2005 4:13 am
"If I were gonna say 5 words before I expire, and they were to insult Tron...I sure as fuck wouldn't say 'Tron Funkin Blow'!"
David - June 8, 2005 4:37 pm
Just play more regular Toronto dates. Please.
You all live here...
Holly - June 8, 2005 4:52 pm
I agree with Josh -- it's all about playing Moncton!
It's been too long...
Kate - June 11, 2005 11:29 pm
This is completely unbelievable!!! You guys are playing in Yellowknife?! I am so going to be there!! This is a dream come true!
steve - June 15, 2005 9:48 pm
stratford ontario with our lady peace, sum 41, simple plan, the barenaked ladies, et al ! what a great 3 days in september that will be
connor - June 15, 2005 9:51 pm
yeah that stratford weekend with rough camping will be a blast...who else is coming
Kelly - June 16, 2005 11:59 am
LONDON ONTARIO needs Sloan... in a bad way... don't play the John Labatt Centre... play a small club like The Drink or the Embassy, it's so much more personal and so much more fun!
steve - June 16, 2005 4:28 pm
stratford's close enuf to london...tell your friends !
londontim - June 17, 2005 7:01 am
just announced!!!
AJ - June 21, 2005 5:45 pm
Well, no In The Mood (tsk, tsk, tsk...), however, SLOAN ROCKED BURLINGTON. What a show. You guys rock. I really hope you guys will consider playing the festival again, because you made a lot of new fans in the city the other night. Keep on making great music.
woodstockrock - June 23, 2005 12:34 am
This Stratford show is amazing! The line-up is incredible! If you don't get tickets for Live 8, this looks like it will be the place! They go onsale on Saturday at 10am! You can also call the toll free line 866.388.1988
ANDREW - June 23, 2005 7:18 pm
HA HA HA I LIVE IN STRATFORD AND WILL BE FIRST IN LINE - EAT MY DUST !
kirk - July 13, 2005 9:30 pm
Hey! I Have a great idea! In September you guys should make a stop in Charlottetown. I'd love to see me some live Sloan!!
Yellowknifer - July 17, 2005 9:00 am
Sloan played Folk On The Rocks, July 16-17.
