Andrew -

Ahhh, an excellent way to send NSTEOI off in style.

Claire -

The look on Andrew's face when he says "It's pink" is priceless.

KashGlenBarn -

Yeah, Claire, LOL... and on my monitor it seems like Andrew's wearing pink himself! LOL

Seriously, though, I smell all the possibilities of a CBC-TV Sloan documentary here. "SLOAN: Never Hear the End of It... Celebrating 15 Years of Sloan Existence with the New Album" or something. This 6-minute segment is really enjoyed, and could probably be beefed up to 24 minutes with a bit of commentary and some indulgences like the full-length video of "HFXNSHC", amongst other things. I hope you filmed a few concerts so far on this tour (which could come in handy). What would you think of filming Sloan reminisces/interviews concerning looking back on their entire history (the Peppermint/Smeared years, the Twice Removed DGC disagreement, the almost-splitup, the "glory (sales) years" (OCtA, NB, perhaps BtB as well although I've always looked at it as a "Okay, we've sold a lot of copies of our previous album, now let's indulge... and I love that indulgence), the years for whom I've yet to find a proper moniker (Pretty Together, Action Pact, A Sides Win)... and then use all the footage from the NStEoI series to push the new album. Mid-November airing on CBC?

Re: the "Day in the Life" effect of the final chord to "Before the End of the Race" at the end of the intro. Tongue-in-cheek bravado. I likes it. Heck, I loves it.

Now, any footage of Chris trying to tie together all the different sections to "Fading Into Obscurity" before recording?

THAT WAS AWESOME!
Thanks for the fun, all month long.

PS. I don't hate Chris. I promise.

Devan -

What I enjoyed about NSTEOI was a daily dosage of the new record, and then once I owned it going back and seeing what they were talking about. If anything, at the very least this has been the most accessible album production I've ever known. Kudos to Sloan and the guys in the background who not only produced great little segments, but the most solid album to date.

PS. I still can't get ove the White Album parallels. Listen, they're there.

sloanspy -

September was fantasgreat! These videos kept me going and got me excitied for the new record.

Thanks Sloan :)

Actionfuct -

"Spirit of Radio" by Rush has the IDENTICAL riff to "She blows what she sees."

"Money City Maniacs" is pretty much just Humble Pie's "Stone cold fever"

Fuctagoat -

Actionfuct is pretty much out of material

Éric -

Slaon . . . Thanks! I really enjoyed the little movies, they were free, so I'll by your record this week in MTL! See you soon! Hey did you know Record stores ask 24.99 for it? Archambault does, I hope it's more affordable at the show. thanks again!

jeffreym (of the modern hypocrites) -

IF you guys could record another 30 song album this month that would be great, because I NEED more videos.

Mo -

Plain and simple....I just love you guys!

Anne -

Those were great fun! Thanks for a month of presents, THEmikenelson and the rest of Sloan! ;)

Mariko -

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

mike nelson -

The new record is $15 at the shows. $0.50 a song. Take that.

Jeremy -

I loved the clips. Especially since I'm an American pig and don't get as much exposure to Sloan. You got to see things that I don't see a lot of i.e. the Chris/Patrick dynamic that still bothers me (Ha ha) and the fact that they don't seem to play together when they're making these records. I would have never known. Any chance of these clips turning into some sort of DVD?

Michelle -

Sloantember was memorable. Thanks for the vids. New CD is magic. I can't stop listening...not that I want to stop. I'll be singing them in my sleep. Looking forward to the Vancouver!!!!!!!

Ethan (in Halifax) -

"Never Hear The End Of It" gets better and better every time I listen to it. My current favourites are "Before The End Of The Race", "Love Is All Around", "I Understand", and "Set In Motion", but all of the others great, too. Thank you Sloan for this fantastic album. You guys make me proud to be from Halifax!

Kommander Kool -

Beautiful record, you guys, Thank You so much.

See you in 2 weeks. I'll be the guy singing along to every song.

But in Winnipeg, that's almost everybody :)

Sleepless in Charlottetown -

Long time fan, have danced in the pouring rain/mud at a few of your various outdoor concerts, and loved every minute of it! Enjoyed the indoor shows as well. Keep it up, I'd like to see you live again!!! Going to buy this album momentarily....

Kommander Kool -
