If I was still in Toronto I bet I'd be road-tripping for this. As it stands ... Stampede!

ruhee, you know you want to take a vacation to nyc. you and miss kickstart. it'd be awesome.

I think I just scared my co-workers by squeaking at my desk.
So! Awesome! Can't wait to see you guys again!
Ruh [3:03 PM May 25, 2007]
Squeaking. That is adorable.
Jamie, I don't think Sloan wants to see the two of us at the same show, hahaha. Even if we wrote songs about lollipops for the occasion.
jamie [3:19 PM May 25, 2007]
not lollipops, ginger sparkles... ;P

oh man! I've been missing manhattan so much these days! I'm dying to go back and this is pretty much a huge persuading factorrr!
riley [12:27 PM May 26, 2007]
man, you guys are becoming regular manhattanites these days. i better never catch you guys rubbing shoulders w/paris hilton, though. ick! can't wait for the 'rest of my life' singalong in central park - can't you feel the goosebumps already?
Ruh [3:44 AM May 29, 2007]
Sloan rubbing shoulders with Paris Hilton? I think I might have to stop listening to them hahaha. At least take a damn shower if you resort to that, yeah? ;)
laura [8:49 PM May 29, 2007]
are you kidding? paris hilton is teh KeWlzzz yo. plus isn't she too thin to have shoulders? there wouldn't be a whole lot to rub with haha
Ruh [4:07 PM May 30, 2007]
Ew. Let's not even. Ew. Okay, there's a song called "House of Wax" on the new Paul McCartney album (and it's not even that great of a song). Speaking of Paris Hilton. Hahahaha I am going to hell for mentioning them in the same breath probably.
This is so not relevant to anything. Uh, good for New York and Summer Stage.

grrr. I'll actually be vacationing in NYC at the time, but won't be able to go. Any other shows in town that week?
Joe Pensanti [10:12 PM June 4, 2007]
Dear Sloan,
Saw you guys open for the sloppy and overrated Jet in NYC in 2004....and I'm happy to say that me, my wife and my 8 year old daughter and 5 year old son will be making the trek from Stratford, CT. to the Central Park gig. My kids are psyched....they love you, as do I. As a matter of fact, they run around the back yard at my house miming "Listen to the Radio" with tennis rackets...of course, as I blast the record out my window while flipping burgers on the grill! Your new album is the best you have ever done, and the best record to come out in years by ANYONE. By the way, I'll be videotaping my kids doing their mime, so can I send you a copy, and to where? Take care and NEVER stop being so creative, and writing some of the best songs since the Beatles, Raspberries, Big Star, Kiss, Bay City Rollers......etc. etc.!!!! Sincerely, Joe Pensanti 203-377-2557
