I like it. It's a shame that YouTube hasn't caught onto this "Stereo" music phenomenon...

laura -

very cool! I shall disseminate it!

Allison -

I'm very happy with the way it turned out as well, nice work gentlemen.
You guys ROCK !

Tyler M. -

Great stuff. You guys are legendary.

Omar -

Cool video... is Patrick sporting a mullet?

Grant -

This video is awful! In the special edition DVD that came with "A Sides Win" Chris talked about how the rest of the band were tired of him as the "director figure". I don't know if the other three had a change of heart, but they should have saved whatever money they spent to make this for retirement or a new hair stylist.

Robbie -

Best.

Band.

Ever.

I really like this vid.
Simple and rockin'.
That's all I need.
SLOAN RULES.

IdrinkconcentratedOJ -

P.S.
A video of >>CONTINUOUS EXTREME SLOAN CLOSE UPS<< is guaranteed to be awesome.

Grant: I'd have to agree. Nothing in this video makes me want to even watch it all the way through, let alone over again. What happened to the days of videos being interesting and/or visually compelling? Constant quick cuts between shots and double camera work is irritating. It doesn't look well thought out, and unfortunately looks exactly the same as the less-than-great video for PDL's "Wishstick" (which I also didn't watch all the way through). Sorry guys. Thumbs down. Pretty disappointing.

emacz -

Video's OK. Patrick, please get a new hairstyle.

annabelle -

I think it's actually both, Biff. Creative, to say the (very) least!

Matture Cheddar -

I don't really want to say this but what happened to the days of Money City Maniacs videos and the like? Something with some concept, idea, like Ruh says - visually compelling? The Lines You Amend was simply shot but stylish. It's not like this video is ugly, but it just goes nowhere and needs more to it. If I Feels Good Do It was stylishly shot but this feels like a step backward from that.

But... MOST IMPORTANTLY... SLOAN ROCK, the song rocks, the guys are great and you need to do a few dates in England cuz we need to see you live again!

farfle -

i like it! videos are expensive to make and pretty much an outdated concept anyway, so if the band wants to keep it simple and performance oriented, that's more than okay with me.

and patrick's (grey) horse-mane/rat-tail 'do is AWESOME.

Danny Grinnell -

Nice Job Chris.

Karen -

Great video. No half-naked females. Bonus points right there!

jerfrumfreehold -

I quite liked it...great tune...

It just surprises me how cruel people can be on a fan site...who are you to criticize? I know, one step above perfect, with undeniably impeccable taste.

It is what it is...love it or leave it alone, nobody asked your tortured life opinion. If you have to spew bad hair jokes, you will be redirected to The Cure website for future comments. I know, since your hair is ab fab, you've been given license to deride others...fair enough.

Didn't your mommy ever tell you " if you have nothing nice to say...?"

Sloan rocks, nice job Chris and Patrick...keep making great music guys...

Mandi -

Why some people feel compelled to be so negative on here is beyond me. There is certainly a time to keep your opinions to yourselves. Learn some manners.

Sloan, you are fantastic!

Michael Taylor -

ditto those last two comments. people seem to be pretty brave with their tough guy opinions when they can hide under the safety and anonymity of the internet. but would they have the guts to slam the video in person to the guys in sloan if they met them after a show? i bet not.

i happen to think the video is enjoyable and emphasizes the song, which is what a video should do. sloan cranks out a great album full of awesome songs every couple of years - isn't that enough, or do they have to hire backup dancers for their videos to make it worth your while?

great job, sloan!

laura -

yeah I'll agree with mandi and michael, if people aren't keen why bother posting to make rude remarks?

sloan lads, you're awesome, keep up the fantastic work! the new record is great and I enjoy the video as well

michael -

I don't know why you folks are upset at the opinions. I love Sloan, love the new album, the featured song but the video isn't that great. Not every video can be as good as Money City Maniacs or If It Feels Good. That's ok, too. I doubt anyone's feelings are going to be hurt.

Ruh -

Laura and Mandi: If someone has a negative opinion about something I've done, I am perfectly willing to hear it as long as they're not an ass about telling me. Almost (key word: almost) everyone on this discussion who has disliked this video has said it in a reasonable manner ... ain't nothin' wrong with expressin'. Unfortunately, not everyone worships everything ever released by a particular band - and yes, Michael, I would discuss my opinions in person or on the internet. As an artist myself, I appreciate discussion about things I've done for better or for worse, and I would imagine they do too.

Len Patrick O'Sullivan -

I'm sorry but this video kicks ass and means more to me seeing the band performing than some goofy theme.
I believe Chris did the video and I like the black & white effect showing the band members cutting in and out. I want the effect of a live show and see them play. It would have been neat to have seen the organist though (I appreciate everything). It's got a psychedelic feel - great beat, great guitar and vocal.
I could appreciate a longer version of this song going because it just sounds like a great jammin tune.

Yeah this goes back to the 60's when you see all the live bands on The Ed Sullivan Show (The Yardbirds, The Turtles, The Lovin Spoonful, The Doors, The Animals etc).

I love it and intend to buy the album to support great Canadian artists. Keep up the good work guys "It brings It".

thank you

jack brooks -

Excellent tune sounds a bit like Black Rebel Motercycle Club
