Sloan's latest album Action Pact will soon be available on Koch Records throughout the United States. The US release will feature two bonus tracks, "Will You Ever Love Me Again?" and "Step On It, Jean".
The release date will coincide with our Boston show on Tuesday, May 11th. If you are in the area, please join us to celebrate the American release of Action Pact.
Our current US tour will cover most of the Eastern States, and we will be heading to Southern California in June. The rest of our US friends should be rest assured that we are already working on more tour dates for later in the year. Check the tour dates section for the latest updates.

Don't forget to release "Action Pact" in Japan.

How about you release all of your bonus tracks for us Canadians - why do we always get the shaft?!
Puck - April 26, 2004 8:10 PM
Does the US released 'Action Pact' have any artwork or design changes in addition to the bonus tracks? Oh, and Joe, all of us south of the border have either had to pay to have the cd imported to us, or have had to wait until now (almost a year) to buy it in the states. So, even without the bonus tracks, I wouldn't say you've been dealt a bad hand;)

Apparently Amazon already has Action Pact listed for sale in the US but there's no image in their listing yet. You can preorder it already. Nice.

I agree with Joe. I think they should release a single with the bonus tracks on it for us Canadians like they did with the "Don't You Believe A Word" single and the Japanese tracks off of Between the Bridges. Although, granted, that would cost money which is something a Canadian artist can't take for granted. The show with Sam Roberts coming up should help out, though. You'd better believe I'm going to see that. Sloan and Sam Roberts and The Constantines and The Stills.. how much better does it get?
Jordy - April 28, 2004 9:38 PM
excuse me?! sam roberts, sloan, the constantines AND the stills?!? have i died and gone to canadian music heaven? what/when/who/where is this wonderful show??

I heard a horrible rumour that the big show in Toronto is Sloan's last show. Someone tell me this isn't true. It can't be.
Mmmm...I saw Sloan last night in London. Tasty. Great set guys.

What the hell happened with Sloan's deal with RCA? I mean, I know RCA just loves the glorified karaoke singers of American Idol, but they could at least have a few acts with some integrity.
Alex - April 29, 2004 7:59 PM
HEY. Us Canadians never get any bonus tracks. I think I may have to move elsewhere. Like Japan.
Rob - April 29, 2004 11:29 PM
Maybe I'll just make a flight to Japan every time Sloan releases an album. But the Sloan/Sam Roberts show (which my tickets came for in the mail today) is at Olympic Island in Toronto on the 7th of August. And I haven't heard anything about it being their last show. I can't imagine that it would be after a solid album like Action Pact. What a difference a producer makes.

Who needs Our Lady Peace, Tea Party, Nickleback, etc. and when Canada already has the best rock act in Sloan!? "Don't pull the plug on me, oh no, leave it in and get me high..."
Kristin - April 30, 2004 4:00 PM
Action Pact is not one of my favourite albums.
I was reading an article in Canadian Musician about distribution of CDs in different countries. Something with Japan is when you release an album there you usually have to put bonus tracks on albums. But I know what you mean, I want a CD with Sloan bonus tracks.
Rob - April 30, 2004 6:19 PM
Maybe they should just put them up on the BMG site or somewhere on this site. That would satisfy me. I just want to hear them.
