This will be the full Canadian version of the DVD with all of the live and TV appearances as well as the videos, documentary and bonus features. It will be shipped on the Canadian release date, May 3rd.
Get them while they last. The 200 autographed copies should go pretty fast!

I may came here lucky enough to find out about this but I don't even got a credit card in my name. ): I'm a loser. Can someone please, please, order it for me, I'll even pay extra for your time to do it.

Colin (Calgary, AB) - April 19, 2005 3:01 PM
As cool as it would be to have a signed copy, its just not the same when you bought it signed. Having it signed in person would be way cooler. So I say, go buy it on the release day rather than wait for it in the mail and be a few days behind the rest of us Sloaners. Just an opinion...
Alex - April 19, 2005 3:05 PM
Yaaaaa!
I'm so glad I found out about this. I just ordered my copy. I don't know if I'll be able to wait the extra day or two to receive it though.
Mariko - April 19, 2005 3:21 PM
I hope this DVD is "region free" version, so Sloaners in Japan can watch it. Some north american DVDs didn't work in Japan.
Kathleen MacMaster - April 19, 2005 3:26 PM
My word for the day describing myself: Blockhead. Somone told me about the downloadable mail order form instead of using credit. I'm so happy now, I'm mailing it right now! Like I said on the msg board not too long ago, God must be with on this one. :)
Thanks Sloan for this!

charlotte - April 19, 2005 3:49 PM
I agree with Colin, it would be cool to have a signed copy of the DVD, but it just wouldn't be the same as getting it signed by the band in person.
Dave - April 19, 2005 6:56 PM
ya, but you must have much cooler stuff than that to get signed in person, I always take stuff that makes Chris go, "wow!"
steve - April 19, 2005 8:00 PM
i hope i'm not too late, this is a sweet deal. plus, it's always harder to get their discs in the states.
chris - April 19, 2005 9:28 PM
sweet, ordered mine. Having them sign it in person would be cooler, but a signed copy itself is pretty sweet. I got chris to sign my copy of one chord to another like 7 years ago but with the number of times sloan visit st. john's this is probably the only chance for me to get a signed copy.
li - April 19, 2005 11:33 PM
this is so great. i wish they could tell you once those 200 are up, or did the order link itself guarantee the signed copy?
i love this band beyond belief. since they've told us they were putting together A Side Wins, I've been on the longest Sloan binge......... i wake up with Sloan songs in my freaking head.
SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAN!
Rob - April 20, 2005 12:38 AM
Just got ordered my copy, once again sloan proves how they truly are one of the most fan freindly bands in canada.
MM.com Tara - April 20, 2005 9:38 AM
Once the 200 signed copies are gone the message will be taken down. As long as you order it while the message is up there you are guaranteed a signed copy. Thanks for ordering from Maple!
Dave Read - April 20, 2005 12:16 PM
Is the US version of the DVD going to be different from the Canadian version? I ordered the signed CDN version but if the US one is different I may have to get that too...d'oh!
Hannah - April 20, 2005 6:53 PM
Sounds like a great deal!!
I've already got my hook-up for A Sides though.... gotta love being the local music store's favorite customer!!
Keep buying Maple though! Great company!
Melissa - April 20, 2005 8:40 PM
I think the two versions of the dvd are the same Sir David :)
Man its going to come in a cardboard case thing and I'm going to have to frame it and my cd/dvd will have no home, wont it?
Oh no lol

Hi Everyone,
Just a note to let you know that we're now out of the signed copies for pre-order at maplemusic.com. The original post was right - they did go VERY fast!
The album is still available for pre-order but any orders placed now will not be signed by the band.
best,
lindsay.
Kamp^Krusty - April 21, 2005 6:01 PM
Are there any new songs on this cd/dvd?
Danny Yau - April 22, 2005 2:17 AM
So what's the 'Canadian' version? Will it be different to the US and Australian versions?
mike nelson - April 22, 2005 10:33 AM
We could only licence the TV appearances for Canada. The international DVD doesn't have that section.
Ruben Stoddard - April 22, 2005 10:50 AM
Hi Mary Kathleen Macmaster....
just wanted to let you know that Clay Aiken and I purchased you a copy because we heard about your credit card problem. We are including a copy of Paula Abdul singing "Forever your girl" (the hard-to-get RASTAFARIAN version with co-vocals by Ziggy Marley)...you should receive it just about the time puberty sets in.
freaksloan (ohio,usa) - April 22, 2005 10:34 PM
Had not been to the site for awhile, glad I checked in. I was able to pre-order my signed copy. Can't wait to show it to my friends, they will be so jealous. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see Sloan for awhile. I hope that will change real soon. Just canâ??t believe I have been listening to them for 13 yrs.
ian strung - April 23, 2005 1:15 AM
I'd just like to congratulate Sloan on the perfect album. I haven't heard their greatest hits yet, but I've seen the tracklist. It's just all the songs they made videos for, in chronological order. No crazy revisionism or weird scrambled track order like you see on lots of best-ofs lately. Here's hoping that both new songs become huge hits and this record becomes Sloan's biggest seller ever!
kenny p. - April 24, 2005 9:32 AM
hey wait a minute, that answers my question on why did they not include lesser-known singles such as keep on thinkin', sensory deprivation, don't you believe a word, live on and nothing lasts forever anymore.
does anybody know if the video for all used up will be included on the dvd?
sometimes people forget.
Justify My Love is on Madonna's Immaculate Collection cd, but the video is missing from the IC dvd.
there's a couple of other examples that I just can't think of right now. sorry.
Lydia - April 24, 2005 4:13 PM
I've been wondering about the All Used Up video as well. Will it be on the DVD??
ian strung - April 25, 2005 2:02 AM
I'm guessing that most people in Canada, and especially elsewhere, know Sloan from their videos much more so than from the radio. I mean, it's true that on Edge102 in Toronto, Take It In, G Turns To D, Keep On Thinkin', I Hate My Generation, Live On and Nothing Lasts Forever Anymore got substantial play and might have been considered for inclusion on the record but it would seem to me that it's just the single/videos, that was the rationale for the tracklist. Makes sense to me.
Melissa - April 25, 2005 12:14 PM
Hells yea. So glad I'm getting the Canadian version! (tv appearances)
Peter Gargan - April 25, 2005 2:25 PM
Is it just me or were the autographed CDs initially put at $15.99, then had the price raised?? Or was it $18.99 all along?
chris - April 25, 2005 4:02 PM
I'm pretty sure I got mine at 15.99. Came to just over $20 after shipping and tax.
Peter Gargan - April 25, 2005 4:14 PM
D'oh! Forgot to factor in shipping! Thought they pulled the ol switcheroo with me, but everything's kosher. Thanks MM!
nippleholic - April 25, 2005 7:27 PM
Just heard that the boys will be at the 102.1 Edge studios (228 Yonge St.) on Thursday (April 28) performing live and doing an interview...i didn't catch the time, but maybe someone else can find that out...
nippleholic - April 25, 2005 7:37 PM
just found out it'll be at **4:20** pm...quite appropriate!

Hannah - April 25, 2005 9:15 PM
Yeah, I had heard this Edge thing too, and yes, I will be there with bells on....
Miranda - April 26, 2005 2:18 AM
LUCKY!!!
Kathleen MacMaster - April 26, 2005 1:17 PM
Ruben Stoddard, why don't you bury your head in a pile of dirt and don't lift it back up until YOU grow up.
I'm here for the support of Sloan, I'm not coming on here to read up on someone's cr** towards me.
-Mary Kathleen MacMaster
Robbie - April 26, 2005 5:49 PM
Damn it, I'm too late! Oh well, I'll just have to get in signed in person then.
Danny Yau - April 27, 2005 2:18 AM
will there be a vinyl version to follow?
melissa - April 27, 2005 3:43 PM
ok so does anyone know how I can just pre order it unsigned? I live in the states and god only knows if and when I'll be able to buy it here....
btw, haven't been here in awhile so haven't gotten to read MKM's pleasant exchanges since the osmb....ahhhhh fond memories....
Kathleen MacMaster - April 28, 2005 12:56 PM
Hi Melissa! Are you on the msg board? I lose track of nicknames sometimes..
-Mary Kathleen MacMaster
Rob heinbecker - May 9, 2005 11:14 PM
I know this is a fansite so the responses will probably be favourable, but what does everyone think of the new singles package?
I'm surprised that they left off some of the songs like 'Take It In', 'Keep on Thinkin' or 'Live On'. We all know CDs can hold more than 14 songs. I was hoping to see some of the other excess hit songs featured on the DVD in the live section.
My biggest criticism is the CD booklet. Thats a lot of paper for just the song lyrics. I feel that a best of package should have some articles of reflection by either band members or critics etc etc. Thats one of the best parts of a package.
Phil Trobu - May 11, 2005 12:49 PM
Thanks guy for the signed CD/DVD!
I think the DVD is really great (i love the concept : each songs "studio", live and documentary... Keep on rocking, and hope to see you in Montreal again :)
