It is my understanding that these shows are open to the general public, and not limited to University students.
I have also posted a couple more upcoming festival dates. Our friends in Michigan will be happy to hear that we will once again be trekking to Pontiac for an Arts Beats and Eats performance. Hopefully this time we will all make it across the border--even Nick.
There are more shows on the horizon. Hopefully some additions to make later this week!

So, I have to say that I am a little sad to see that sloan is playing the Arts Beats and eats again. If I remember last time the performance was rushed and cut short? I was hoping to get a full on sloan show in Detroit or at least Windsor or Toledo. Sad. Just sad.

Seriously though, it's great to see Sloan finally come back to PEI. They haven't been here since OCTA. I'm sick of having to drive to Fredericton to see them. Can't wait!

I swear to sweet jesus if the same debacle as the last Arts, Beats, and Eats gig is repeated....you're all fired! I mean, if we're only going to get to see 45 minutes of Sloan AT LEAST couldn't the band on before them be better than Collective Soul? I will be there with bells on in any case, just have to tie one on so most of my surroundings are out of focus....

I just booked a flight to Michigan based on this date to see Sloan, now I read it's was a debacle. No matter, I'm coming anyway! Leah in AZ

I can only assume that this time will be much better.

Last time we were late, losing our sound tech at the border due to a forgotten visa. We were also supposed to be co-headlining with another band who wound up getting the lion's share of the stage and time to play. We'll be more diligent about things this time around and hopefully the show will be more fun for the band and the audience.

Once again, it seems that Moncton is being forgotten...Sloan played a secret show here last time, which was amazing, but it would have been nice to be on the original itinerary this time around. Any dates planned for Monkeytown?

Woohoo! UNB Show! Hopefully they won't cram a gross amount of people into a small area again.
I might even try to make the PEI or Hali show as well....

I would also like to see Sloan play in Moncton. I read an online interview with Sloan last year and they said their best gig was the secret gig in Moncton at the Paramount last year. I asked someone in the band why they never play Moncton and his reply was "Our agent books the shows, we just follow our tour schedule". Please come to Moncton.... you've got a lot of fans here. ~D

Yeah, I was at the secret show in Moncton -- it was packed and I know that they turned alot of people away at the door because they just couldn't fit anymore in. Sloan has always had a lot of fans here...

Tickets for the Halifax show go on sale Sept. 6 at the Rebecca Cohn by phone if you're from out of town. Hopefully some people catch this because it's important to me their biggest fans get in first. Opening for them will be The Stills.
