Just when I was starting to think all hope was indeed lost there is a small glimmer on the horizon that may, MAY just mean that the almighty fabulous Sloan might just venutre Europe-bound? Well, I can but carry on dreaming. I would just LOVE IT if you could visit the UK again as there's no way I can afford a plane ticket to Canada to see you! I promise I will buy a ticket for every county you're in if you come to the UK!!! :-) I love you guys and your sound & style so much; your music has awakened me from this numb, souless scene we have here in the UK currently. I'd love to see you come play. This is exellent news that Sloan is coming to Mpls. They posted the tour date just in time...My Man and I were going to get plane tickets to go see them Friday in Buffalo. We saved alot a money. Not to say they are not worth it, a couple years ago we flew to Tronto, rented a car and drove a few hours to the KEE Bala...that was an exellent show. I can't wait to meet all the real Minnesota rockers!!!

So glad to see you added Cleveland. Hope you add Toledo, Bowling Green, Columbus, and Detroit (other places you have played in the past). Seeing you once won't be enough for me.

i know that things didn't go to well the last time y'all came to colorado, but that's denver and denver is a shit hole. how long have i listened to you guys? since i was 14? i am pretty old now. it would be a kick in the ass if you could come to boulder, co or even ft. collins. there nice cities with reasonably nice folks ... albeit snotty as fuck. shit ... i'd go to kansas to see the band. hell guys, "action pact" is the best record you've put out since "twice removed" and that still gets airplay on my various cd/md players. colorado dates please! guided by voices didn't even play a final tour show here. you could give us a little something! radio 1190 would promote the gig. hell i'd street team that like a hungry dog!

Cincinnati would be great too...c'mon booking agents, it was a solid turnout ot the 20th Century Theater for not playing this town for 7 YEARS...let's go!!!!

Cleveland rocks. Circle back through the Northeast! I can easily get a car full of fans and drive to Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit....or Cleveland again....Akron works for me too.

Sept 3 in Moncton? Maybe I'm mixing up my dates, but could this mean that Sloan could play the Rolling Stones gig? I voiced my desire as soon as tickets went up for sale when it was said "plus one unconfirmed guest", and I wasn't alone. Sloan would be a perfect fit here... and I'd enjoy seeing the band live again, one more time.

Look...this is important guys. Its not optional that you dont come to the UK. We need Sloan here. Over the past couple of years I have created a small Sloan following which is ever expanding. I dont really have to try hard, I only have to lend an album and another fan is formed. So Im thinking by the time you get your dates sorted out I could fill a venue for you...or at least a half dozen of us that would totally rock out. Argh...Just make sure you get a couple of London dates fixed will ya?!?! The music scene for the most part sucks here. And look, heres another good idea. You could get together with sam roberts band and do an amazing europe tour thing.Huh? What do u think? Do you need any more encouragement?!?!?!

Kash - The Hip, OLP and Maroon 5 got the Moncton gig. And (as they say) 3's a crowd already, so I doubt Sloan will be added.

I totally agree with you Mature Cheddar! It shouldn't be an option to come to London, it should be obligatory! I'm sure we definitely have a Sloan following here, but finding other Sloan fans in the UK is proving to be a right bugger here as most of my friends simply have shoddy taste in music. :-) I'd certainly be buying a ticket for every gig they might play in the South of England. Slooooooaan!

just saw this in the LFP yesterday and it is all over the radio. Sloan is playing in Stratford on September 10th with Finger Eleven AND Our Lady Peace! Barenaked Ladies there the following day!

The Halifax date.... YAY!!!! That Halifax date is almost 2 years to the day since they were last here.... If they haven't been back for a visit, they'll notice a big difference in the tree population since Hurricane Juan struck after they had already left.

Right on Mature Chedder and Jamie! I'm with yer all the way! We just have to do *something* to make them see the sense in coming to the UK! They've not been here for years and it's damn well long overdue and extremely frustrating! I think we should start hatching a Plan of Persuasion of some sort! I'm here every day checking for news. In all honesty, looking at their forthcoming gig line-ups, it doesn't look likely to me that they'll be here in London this side of 2005, though it's all I wish for right now. C'mon Sloan, the weather's great, London lurves you and in the words of some great band out there "don't hide yourself away, let it shine"! ;-)

I've just reserved tickets for Sloan & Foo Fighters. Seats are not really good but I'll be happy if I can be under the same roof as my most favorite band in my life - SLOAN!! I believe they are really playing...

I should have some official Sloan/Foo Fighters news over the next couple of days. I don't like to post tour dates until I have official confirmation. However, if the Foo Fighters have it on their website already, that seems like a pretty good indication that it is going to happen.

Mike, can you shed any light on the possibility of an international tour? Like, Europe? Like, little ole London Town maybe?

my buddy just foned me really early this morning (12:35 lunchtime) and told me the SLOAN boys are gunna be opening on Foo Fighters' Canadian tour, anybody else know aboot this?

According to the Foo's website, it indeed states that Sloan will be supporting them on their Canadian leg of the tour.

After watching the A Sides Win dvd again for the nth time, i just wanted to say:

I'm very excited to see the Minneapolis date!! My dream tour didn't happen (Teenage Fanclub/Sloan co-headlining tour) ... but almost as TFC will be playing Minneapolis on July 29th. So ... can't wait to see you guys!

Hey Sloan-heads!!! I just saw the boys here in Chicago last night at The Double Door!!! It was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC...!!! And Andrew was shy as usual, and stayed on the bus while the other three boys chatted away with us fans out on the streets of Chicago..It was really cool.. But Andrew did Before I do, and that was one of the highlights of the show.. They just ROCKED it, as usual... Sloan, Chicago LOVES You!!

once a upon a time in a land a long time ago,last century in fact came four young musicians from halifax n.s. oh what a joy it was to hear these talented men play their instruments and sing to the audiences delight.If ever possible that this fine canadian quartet should find themselves wandering aimlessly near sydney,canberra,melbourne,hobart, adelaide,perth,brisbane,darwin,alice springs or even goulburn new south wales australia,after all is not yellowknife just as remote?(no offence to the residents of yellowknife,in fact your joy is shared)oh well,to see sloan again would be another memorable experience and would and most assuredly be a pleasure for them.thankyou.

as a fellow resident of the great yonder that is australia, i would have to agree with the sentiments of the above character dieter. apparently wise and intelligent, his subtle hinting to the need for another Australian tour of whatever proportions possible would be apprieciated by many a musice lover, whether they be new to the fantastic four, or they feel the need for a refresher after the stop in sydney some time ago.
There you have it. We guarantee at least two people turning up to the Australian gig, dates/venues yet to be announced?
