I should have a few more interesting dates to announce soon. I am working on some more central canadian dates (including Toronto), hopefully some more California shows, and of course some dates in eastern Canada.
Do not lose all hope for international shows. We are working with some international partners and hope to have some exciting announcements before too long.
It is getting very hot here in Toronto. The summer shows have officially begun. Hope to see you at one before long!

Sloans,
How about playing the Horseshoe in TO?
Now THAT would be fun.
Nikki - June 8, 2005 4:55 PM
Well hellooooo Sloan! "Don't give up hope on international..." ?! Just when I was starting to think all hope was indeed lost there is a small glimmer on the horizon that may, MAY just mean that the almighty fabulous Sloan might just venutre Europe-bound? Well, I can but carry on dreaming. I would just LOVE IT if you could visit the UK again as there's no way I can afford a plane ticket to Canada to see you! I promise I will buy a ticket for every county you're in if you come to the UK!!! :-) I love you guys and your sound & style so much; your music has awakened me from this numb, souless scene we have here in the UK currently. I'd love to see you come play. Please feel free to email (yeah, I should be so lucky!) if you ever need any details of some cozy little venues to play in London, I'll get my little black book of contacts at the ready. I really would be so stoked to see you in the UK. Keep up the always fabulous work boys, your sound is undescribably delicious and sends luscious shivers down my spine whenever I play a Sloan record! London Love. xx
Gina Jameson - June 8, 2005 5:12 PM
This is exellent news that Sloan is coming to Mpls. They posted the tour date just in time...My Man and I were going to get plane tickets to go see them Friday in Buffalo. We saved alot a money. Not to say they are not worth it, a couple years ago we flew to Tronto, rented a car and drove a few hours to the KEE Bala...that was an exellent show. I can't wait to meet all the real Minnesota rockers!!!
Todd - June 8, 2005 5:22 PM
So glad to see you added Cleveland. Hope you add Toledo, Bowling Green, Columbus, and Detroit (other places you have played in the past). Seeing you once won't be enough for me.
d.e.minton - June 8, 2005 9:48 PM
i know that things didn't go to well the last time y'all came to colorado, but that's denver and denver is a shit hole. how long have i listened to you guys? since i was 14? i am pretty old now. it would be a kick in the ass if you could come to boulder, co or even ft. collins. there nice cities with reasonably nice folks ... albeit snotty as fuck. shit ... i'd go to kansas to see the band. hell guys, "action pact" is the best record you've put out since "twice removed" and that still gets airplay on my various cd/md players. colorado dates please! guided by voices didn't even play a final tour show here. you could give us a little something! radio 1190 would promote the gig. hell i'd street team that like a hungry dog!
drew - June 9, 2005 5:38 AM
Cincinnati would be great too...c'mon booking agents, it was a solid turnout ot the 20th Century Theater for not playing this town for 7 YEARS...let's go!!!!
jenny - June 9, 2005 10:08 AM
Cleveland rocks. Circle back through the Northeast! I can easily get a car full of fans and drive to Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit....or Cleveland again....Akron works for me too.
Ray Cook - June 9, 2005 11:50 AM
Any chance of trying to play Millvale, Pa again this time around?
respect the D - June 9, 2005 1:36 PM
You guys have got to play in the 'D'......detroit that is. So many people I know have been talking all year about last May's St. Andrew's show.
I was never so happy to have my eardrums f'ing blown out.
The entire crowd sang all the words to everysong, even the bits about 'Livin it in Canada'
Elizabeth - June 9, 2005 8:27 PM
Come HOME, to Halifax!!!
jimmmmmmmmy - June 9, 2005 9:41 PM
detroit? please?
jess - June 10, 2005 3:09 PM
yo! I have not seen sloan in a year and a half. I don't drive, so you can come to me. Come to Guelph, Ontario. I promise it will be great...... I don't think you have been here since the tour with Rufus Wainwright (sp?). See you soon!
Jackie - June 10, 2005 9:31 PM
I agree with David- Horseshoe would be perfect! Come on- you know you want to play some Toronto dates... please ?
Johnny - June 11, 2005 11:22 PM
Please come to the birthplace of rock and roll - MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE!!!!!
KashGlenBarn - June 12, 2005 1:29 PM
Sept 3 in Moncton? Maybe I'm mixing up my dates, but could this mean that Sloan could play the Rolling Stones gig? I voiced my desire as soon as tickets went up for sale when it was said "plus one unconfirmed guest", and I wasn't alone. Sloan would be a perfect fit here... and I'd enjoy seeing the band live again, one more time.
Kommander Kool - June 13, 2005 3:54 AM
hey, how about hooking up with the Hip this summer? I think I heard something about them doing another Another Roadside Attraction this year.
I know, everyone, I know...."It's not the band I hate, it's their fans..."

Look...this is important guys. Its not optional that you dont come to the UK. We need Sloan here. Over the past couple of years I have created a small Sloan following which is ever expanding. I dont really have to try hard, I only have to lend an album and another fan is formed. So Im thinking by the time you get your dates sorted out I could fill a venue for you...or at least a half dozen of us that would totally rock out. Argh...Just make sure you get a couple of London dates fixed will ya?!?! The music scene for the most part sucks here. And look, heres another good idea. You could get together with sam roberts band and do an amazing europe tour thing.Huh? What do u think? Do you need any more encouragement?!?!?!
Beth - June 13, 2005 4:46 PM
Kash - The Hip, OLP and Maroon 5 got the Moncton gig. And (as they say) 3's a crowd already, so I doubt Sloan will be added.
Nikki - June 13, 2005 5:51 PM
I totally agree with you Mature Cheddar! It shouldn't be an option to come to London, it should be obligatory! I'm sure we definitely have a Sloan following here, but finding other Sloan fans in the UK is proving to be a right bugger here as most of my friends simply have shoddy taste in music. :-) I'd certainly be buying a ticket for every gig they might play in the South of England. Slooooooaan!
jamie - June 14, 2005 5:43 AM
yes, please come to the UK. i was so upset to learn that i missed the gigs in d.c. and philly, as i've just moved to london, and it would make my SUMMER to see sloan here. i've already started campaigning people to come along!
bex - June 14, 2005 2:11 PM
I can't BELIEVE you guys are coming to Yellowknife for Folk on the Rocks! That's just crazy insane! We're gearing up for you, it's going to be great! Yellowknife can't wait for SLOAN! :>
londontim - June 17, 2005 6:57 AM

Lisa (Halifax, NS) - June 18, 2005 9:07 PM
The Halifax date.... YAY!!!! That Halifax date is almost 2 years to the day since they were last here.... If they haven't been back for a visit, they'll notice a big difference in the tree population since Hurricane Juan struck after they had already left.
Chester - June 19, 2005 10:37 AM
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE THE CH'TOWN SHOW ALL AGES!! IM BEGGING YOU !!!! PPPPPPLLLLLLLLLEEEEEAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
AlexMac - June 21, 2005 10:29 AM
So when are you boys going to be updating us with some info on the festival Sept 9-11 in Stratford.
So far it looks like an awesome Canadian lineup: Sum41, Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven, Barenaked Ladies, Simple Plan, and someone else....oh ya the only reason I'm going, Sloan!!!
Come on boys lets get some info up here. Tix are on sale in a couple days.

Barenaked Ladies BLOW
matture cheddar - June 22, 2005 12:21 PM
Right ok people, NIKKI ? JAMIE ? are u listening? that's 3 of us that want sloan to come to the UK. We have to band together, combine our forces to make sloan listen to us!...dont know exactly how we'd go about that... but for now lets continue to rant on about how they should!...yeah!...
jamie - June 22, 2005 2:23 PM
hey matture cheddar.. my friends in boston asked chris if they planned to come to the UK and he told them they didn't.. which breaks my heart but i've still got my fingers crossed. i have some friends who are promoters and put on gigs at the windmill in brixton, everybody always comes out to them, i think they need to get sloan to come. hehe.
bia - June 22, 2005 3:04 PM
come to brazil!
come to brazil!
come to brazil!
come to brazil!
Nikki - June 22, 2005 4:15 PM
Right on Mature Chedder and Jamie! I'm with yer all the way! We just have to do *something* to make them see the sense in coming to the UK! They've not been here for years and it's damn well long overdue and extremely frustrating! I think we should start hatching a Plan of Persuasion of some sort! I'm here every day checking for news. In all honesty, looking at their forthcoming gig line-ups, it doesn't look likely to me that they'll be here in London this side of 2005, though it's all I wish for right now. C'mon Sloan, the weather's great, London lurves you and in the words of some great band out there "don't hide yourself away, let it shine"! ;-)
Nikki - June 22, 2005 4:20 PM
Andrew, and Patrick in particular, have been writing their tour diary recently - do you think there's any hope they read our begging pleas to come Europe-bound? If you do guys, we're serious, the UK needs you!
matture cheddar - June 23, 2005 11:57 AM
Awww... DAMNIT! Well thats no stinkin' good is it?!?! How could u do a europe tour and miss out the uk? Thats like...like... im looking for a metaphor here but cant think of one... I hope that doesnt end up being the case Jamie. Yea get on those connections man! Your rite Nikki. Ideas people, we need ideas!
And yea if Andrew and Patrick are reading...listen to us!
Mature Cheddar - June 23, 2005 12:04 PM
Ahem...
Dear Sloan,
Reasons to come to London...Red phone boxes, Mid-afternoon tea....Me..
Yours Sincerely
Mature Cheddar
catnamedsloan - June 24, 2005 8:15 AM
Yes....the situation may not be quite as dire here as we have had the pleasure of Sloan in our great city more recently than the UK....but if Andrew and Patrick are reading: Where in the hell is a Detroit date? I've done my job of getting my entire office listening to Sloan, shouldn't I be rewarded?
devin - June 24, 2005 7:22 PM
thanks so much for playing the sound of music festival in burlington. my li'l ol' home town.
i'm sorry that the punk kids threw some stuff at you. they made me mad.
i was going to throw my panties...but I didn't want to look like a slut... and there were too many little ones around... thanks for being concerned about them too... that was super stellar.
you sounded great.
nippleholic - June 25, 2005 1:51 AM

Throwing panties on stage = SLUT!
raindog1972 - June 25, 2005 1:14 PM
Rochester, NY is right across the lake and we haven't had a date since the ONE CHORD TOUR....what the hell.?!
Ryan P - June 25, 2005 2:59 PM
Sloan and the Foo Fighters!!?? I'm game for that!
seagreen - June 25, 2005 3:29 PM
I've just reserved tickets for Sloan & Foo Fighters. Seats are not really good but I'll be happy if I can be under the same roof as my most favorite band in my life - SLOAN!! I believe they are really playing...
Mike Nelson - June 26, 2005 5:37 PM
I should have some official Sloan/Foo Fighters news over the next couple of days. I don't like to post tour dates until I have official confirmation. However, if the Foo Fighters have it on their website already, that seems like a pretty good indication that it is going to happen.
Nikki - June 26, 2005 5:47 PM
Mike, can you shed any light on the possibility of an international tour? Like, Europe? Like, little ole London Town maybe?
Melissa - June 26, 2005 8:48 PM
I vote wherever you go you stop by NYC again on the way
I'm going through serious Sloan withdrawal! :)
jamie - June 27, 2005 5:34 AM
YOU'RE going through sloan withdrawal? sloan JUST played nyc! ;)
the UK has been going through sloan withdrawal for a very very long time. please come to london!
Nikki - June 27, 2005 8:17 AM
It's not so much a withdrawal for the UK fanbase as it is a drought! I swear that if Sloan turn up in the UK I'm going to think it's a mirage!
Kommander Kool - June 27, 2005 1:36 PM
my buddy just foned me really early this morning (12:35 lunchtime) and told me the SLOAN boys are gunna be opening on Foo Fighters' Canadian tour, anybody else know aboot this?
Nikki - June 27, 2005 2:08 PM
According to the Foo's website, it indeed states that Sloan will be supporting them on their Canadian leg of the tour.
Li - June 27, 2005 4:04 PM
After watching the A Sides Win dvd again for the nth time, i just wanted to say:
Thank you for the joy you've brought to my life Sloan. My life would be joyless without you guys.
Much love,
Li
ps - COME TO HOUSTON!
devin - June 29, 2005 2:30 PM
thanks for the support May. Although, I'm not entirely sure that throwing panties on stage makes you a slut. I think'd make me a few years older and displace me to a tom jones show.
CMS - June 30, 2005 5:59 PM
I'm very excited to see the Minneapolis date!! My dream tour didn't happen (Teenage Fanclub/Sloan co-headlining tour) ... but almost as TFC will be playing Minneapolis on July 29th. So ... can't wait to see you guys!
CMS
Nick - July 5, 2005 9:15 AM
I'd really love to see a Detroit date. I haven't seen you guys since last May at the St. Andrew's gig. (well worth it). If there was a Detroit date, any chance of getting the Hard Lessons to open? These Detroit rockers are awesome. Check them out at www.thehardlessons.com
badresa - July 5, 2005 8:38 PM
Thanks so much for adding Canasta to your Chicago show at the Double Door. They're a band we are super proud to call ours here in Chi-town.
Thursday never looked so good.
www.canastamusic.com
Hey Sloan fans, check them out, and get there on time so you don't miss any of their amazing set.
tankboy - July 7, 2005 6:58 PM
Here you go, I previewed you Chicago show in today's Chicagoist:
http://www.chicagoist.com/archives/2005/07/07/money_city_maniacs.php
Also, I'll be the dork spinning music between bands at Double Door tonight.
John - July 8, 2005 11:42 AM
Hey Sloan-heads!!! I just saw the boys here in Chicago last night at The Double Door!!! It was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC...!!! And Andrew was shy as usual, and stayed on the bus while the other three boys chatted away with us fans out on the streets of Chicago..It was really cool.. But Andrew did Before I do, and that was one of the highlights of the show.. They just ROCKED it, as usual... Sloan, Chicago LOVES You!!

dieter - July 9, 2005 5:00 AM
once a upon a time in a land a long time ago, last century in fact came four young musicians from halifax n.s. oh what a joy it was to hear these talented men play their instruments and sing to the audiences delight. If ever possible that this fine canadian quartet should find themselves wandering aimlessly near sydney, canberra, melbourne, hobart, adelaide, perth, brisbane, darwin, alice springs or even goulburn new south wales australia, after all is not yellowknife just as remote?(no offence to the residents of yellowknife,in fact your joy is shared)oh well,to see sloan again would be another memorable experience and would and most assuredly be a pleasure for them.thankyou.
eben - July 25, 2005 5:00 AM
as a fellow resident of the great yonder that is australia, i would have to agree with the sentiments of the above character dieter. apparently wise and intelligent, his subtle hinting to the need for another Australian tour of whatever proportions possible would be apprieciated by many a musice lover, whether they be new to the fantastic four, or they feel the need for a refresher after the stop in sydney some time ago.
There you have it. We guarantee at least two people turning up to the Australian gig, dates/venues yet to be announced?
Andy: I'll 'ave one pint, and another.
