Having spent the long winter putting together the forthcoming Singles collection and DVD, the band is really looking forward to getting back in front of a live audience.
Fans in Waterloo, Barrie and Peterborough will be treated to an up-close and personal night of Sloan's singles and fan favorites, as well as a couple of new songs that have yet to be performed live.
Sloan will be joined by The Weekend for these three shows.
I am looking into some options for advance purchase of tickets for those traveling from out of town. I will let everybody know if I can get something worked out.

Opening in my home town?! How cool is that! Well, it's not too cool for me because I'm currently living in Texas, but it'll give me a good excuse to come home. :)
Can't wait to hear the new tunes!
Cheers

Good news Mike!!
We have been hearing rumours of these shows for a couple of weeks, and us rabid fans have gone and done some detective work on our own to confirm them. I'm glad to hear that you are trying to find a way to get some tickets available to the "out of towners" for some of the shows. We do like to travel about to see the boys, but getting tickets is sometimes a challenge for those of us that don't live in the hosting cities. Keep us posted! :)

I'm very excited now!!! Hannah I hope you don't mind if I sing in the car on the way to Barrie ; )
allanb (Elias) - April 1, 2005 5:37 PM
Don't worry Miranda, I'm sure Hannah owns earplugs! ;)
Miranda - April 1, 2005 7:34 PM
Who do you think you're talking to Elias? You little scamp!
Lydia - April 1, 2005 10:13 PM
Miranda's had lots of experience singing Sloan songs.
Are they all ages shows?? Does anyone know?? I can't tell on the sites
Alisa - April 2, 2005 2:04 PM
I'm in Waterloo and I asked the Starlight club if its all all aged show. But alas it is 19+...I'm thoroughly disappointed :(
I'm not sure of the other clubs in Barrie or Peterborough.
Hope this helps others!

Miranda on vocals, Allegra on bass, go go go Sloanettes. (Now I need to learn drums... is Chris still giving lessons?)

I just wanna be a back-up dancer....
Miranda, singing is a must, I will be belting them out too! ;)
Miranda - April 5, 2005 12:40 AM
I want to be a back-up dancer too Hannah. I've got some sweet Napoleon Dynamite style moves.
Sloanettes? I've actually thought about what my dream band would be called. If I ever get some sort of Sloan cover band together I'll be calling it She Cried Bingo.
Lydia - April 5, 2005 10:52 AM
Can I join your band, Miranda?? I can (kinda) play guitar.
And thanks, Alisa, that does help!!
Miranda - April 5, 2005 7:45 PM
I'll be needing to hear/see some demos and dance moves before you can join ; )
Morrigan - April 6, 2005 1:29 PM
(I'm dancing like Homer at the chili cook-off) - "WE'RE GOIN TO BARRIE, WE'RE GOING TO BARRIE!!!"
Mr. Murphy, I'm flying 3,000 miles to see you guys, so please play Marquee & the Moon. That is all.
Allan (Elias) - April 7, 2005 3:10 PM
OMG! Sloan with girl back-up dancers? Only if you ladies are in cages wearing bikinis.
Rich - April 8, 2005 12:24 PM
Any chance of a Hot Summer Night in TO this year? That was one of the best shows ever!
Markus - April 11, 2005 11:03 PM
Well....I am so used to travelling to see the guys. Now they come to me. Barrie will ROCK OUT Sloan style! Ohhhhhh yaaaaaaaa! Lookin forward to it man.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!
I don't care what we're called as long as we do "Stop Following Me"... I've got a killer bass riff I'm dying to use so as to redeem myself from teh awfulness of how I usually play.
She Cried Bingo?! AWESOME! Loves it.
Damn you people and your travelling abilities... and 19+ skillz.
