Just remembered of something to do on that day so I can't see the performance online..
Someone please give me some details how it went but I don't think I won't be on the Internet for at least 2 months or more.

Oh wish I could edit my post but I like to add to say that if you Sloan see this, I'm giving you my love and have fun on your tours to come. Of course you guys will but be safe. And, don't let someone from the crowd hit you with some object (from what I seen, it happens) so duck!
Smiles and hugs.
I wanna hug you 4!!

The KEXP thing was a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing you guys back home again come September (just please don't conflict with the Stones at Magnetic Hill, please).
Mariko - May 6, 2005 10:53 PM
Thanks for the reminder!
Ryan P. - May 7, 2005 1:50 PM
Why should they conflict with the Stones? Why shouldn't they be PLAYING with the Stones? If SARS-Stock lacked one thing, it was definatly Sloan
janice - May 7, 2005 10:16 PM
hey mary kathleen, and anyone else who missed their KEXP performance,
we archive all our instudio performances on our website at http://www.kexp.org.
it takes a while before we get the instudios on the website, so for the next two weeks, you can listen via our streaming archive here:
http://www.kexp.org/streamarchive/streamarchive.asp
just select friday and noon, and it'll replay a stream of their session.
and then after that, and this is what you'll probably want to do mary kathleen, you can listen to it anytime here:
http://www.kexp.org/aspnet_client/live.asp
once we get it up there...in a couple of weeks...
hope this helps! it was an *awesome* instudio session, and they did five songs! :)
Hannah - May 7, 2005 11:46 PM

I got the message over at the SMB, but wanted to thank you over here as well, because it was a fantactic performance!
You sounded great guys! You have a cult following at home here too though....

Ike - May 9, 2005 8:27 AM
Thanks guys, do remember to remind us when the KEXP site has posted the performance in its archives.
I can't find it there right now.
kenny p. and poo - May 11, 2005 2:42 AM
how come the Sloan boys never wanna do anything cool like that in Winnipeg, or some other out of nowhere place like this, they always seem to zip in and outta here so fast.
See you guys on Saturday, I'll be the one wearing the "Vote For Pedro" t-shirt.
and can you play anyone who's anyone?
chantel - May 11, 2005 5:56 PM

"A sides win". My man brought it home yesterday evening. And we watched all the videos. We have a Sloan shrine and added the autographed "A sides win" copy of it to our poster that I took from The kee Bala show 8-16-2003 and our cartoon post card of the four of them. It's great! I love Sloan!

Miranda - May 11, 2005 10:09 PM
Sweet! I'm going to this free show for sure! Shall we road trip again Hannah?
Go Gina! Keep up that shrine! I'm happy that you stole a poster from the Kee. I really wanted to steal a Sloan poster from there last year but I was afraid of being yelled at. Damn fear! I'll steal one this summer.... he he he
Hannah - May 11, 2005 10:50 PM
I'm in Miranda!!
Beth - May 12, 2005 1:21 AM
<b>www.soundofmusic...</b> !! I LOVE THAT MOVIE !! Will Sloan be wearing nun habits? SS uniforms? Matching outfits made of drapes?!!
Kidding. But yeah, if I'm unpacked, I'm there M&H.
Hannah - May 12, 2005 8:02 AM
Schweet.
I'd love to see Chris and Patrick doing, "I am sixteen, going on seventeen".
So long, farewell.
Lydia - May 12, 2005 9:13 AM
Beth, your e-mail addresses are killing me!!
anonymous - May 12, 2005 11:27 AM
a lot of you people are fucked up! You people are ruining an awesome sloan website here! You do not fuck with Sloan!!!
SLOOOOOO-OAN
Beth - May 12, 2005 12:56 PM
Anony-dude, I hope you are kidding. How interesting would the site be if we were gestapo-serious <i>all</i> the time?
If there is anything Sloan fans are about, it's humor (and we DO know where to draw the line - all the stuff over the line gets dumped on the OSMB). Plus, I'm pretty damn certain that the boys would be <i>all over</i> singing Do-Re-Mi in matching outfits made of drapes.
anonymous - May 12, 2005 3:05 PM
Some of these chicks may be insane and in need of help, but when they all leave it's a sign that Sloan is slipping. Hence, if all the crazies stay then Sloan will continue to prosper!
The crazies aren't ruining the site, they make it humourous. I'd like to think a Sloan or two read this site, laugh, shake their head and think "Look what we've created?"
It may be off topic from time to time but at least it's mostly flattering and harldy ever malicious, unlike that fucked up message board.
P.s. If you mess with Sloan Patrick will beat you up ; )
Lydia - May 14, 2005 11:41 PM
"if you mess with Sloan, Patrick will beat you up"
I've always suspected that
Sloan Posse - May 16, 2005 12:25 PM
Calm it down now! Beth is a nice young lady.
The 2nd anonymous poster seems to be right on track.
Anonymity and the Internet - May 16, 2005 4:52 PM
Hey anon, if anyone is ruining this 'awesome sloan website', it's you and your judgemental cursing. Chill out.
Beth - May 16, 2005 6:09 PM
(Wow, that was <i>almost</i> intelligible, anonymous cursing boy. Was there an "ain't" in there?)
All you need is love, my friend.
anonymous - May 17, 2005 10:41 AM
Beth I know where you live so you better watch out or Sloan wont be comming your way!
Patrick Pentland - May 17, 2005 10:44 AM
People people, please stop all this violence. This is not what sloan is about! Sloan is about the music, fun, and meeting people. We dont need all this vulgarity here. This band is not about hatred! so please stop all this violence before we ban you from our website which we really dont want to do but if that's what will stop all this violence and hatred then that's what we'll do!
Miranda - May 17, 2005 10:46 AM
I just got around to listening to the KEXP performance and I thought it was good. People fo the Sky sounded great. It was interesting to hear how U.S and Canadian shows differ.
Best line:"Why did you have to bring that up?"
As far as playing fan requests go, I think you are pretty good about that. We sometimes forget that some are harder to do live then others. With that being said, I will still continue to request Hollow Head, Pick It Up and Dial It, Friendship and Marquee and the Moon (winks at Beth) until I hear them live.
Just think about it ; )
Miranda - May 17, 2005 11:04 AM
People fo the Sky? HA! I should be doing a spell check before posting! Although I'd love to hear People fo the Sky sometime. I wish Sloan would go hip hop.
Morrigan - May 17, 2005 5:14 PM
Maybe you could get Chirs to do People fo the Sky for you Miranda.
Hannah - May 17, 2005 5:52 PM
Thanks for the above words Patrick. Nice to see you around these parts again. :)
And if we are into requesting songs, then beware boys of Sloan, I am on a Anyone Who's Anyone kick, and I fully intend on hearing it live soon.... like in Burlington or Bala.
I hope you like that song Beth and Miranda, because I am going on a bit of a Marquee-type quest... a "Marqueest" if you will. I fully expect you two to back me on this.
Steve Buscemi - May 17, 2005 5:58 PM
That's not the real Patrick, I'm the real Patrick!
Hannah - May 17, 2005 6:44 PM
I thought you were Mr. Pink?
Miranda - May 18, 2005 12:57 PM
Steve Buscemi? I'm so confused! We'll never know if the above post was really Patrick : (
The real - May 18, 2005 2:19 PM
Where can we find the KEXP performance posted on the net?

I'm kind of late replying but thanks Janice for that post, although, I never seen this earlier so I probably missed it. I couldn't find the performance on neither URL so I'm guessing the achieves of that show was deleted. Oh, that's life. Life can be so cruel.
