As it stands we will be paring down the tour schedule for a bit to focus on writing and recording some new material. If you live in the general vecinity, it would be worth the drive to Guelph to get your Sloan fix!
Hope to see you there!

We hope your new material will be on Japanese release "A sides win" as bonus tracks!

New material hmmm.... I think we can apreciate that... can't stop the stone from rolling when it picks up momentum ;)

OK, to me that says "no GTA" (and Guelph is a students-only show, which leaves a lot of us SOL). Were it not for the "writing and recording some new material" part, I'd say boooo.
Looking forward to that long, rambling, psychedelic double LP. You know you wanna.

Writing new material: YAAAAAY! :-)
Not coming to the UK this year (or maybe ever?): BOO HISSSSSSS!

Can't wait for the Guelph show! It's times like these that I'm glad to be in university!
Lothriel - September 26, 2005 5:17 PM
Really? Is the Guelph show just for students? I do believe it's open to general public, but the students just get a discount or something. :S Either way, that does leave a lot of the Torontonians totally stuck in, well, Toronto. Like, those of us who don't/can't drive. *cough*me*cough* Or who are stuck in university *cough*me*cough*...apparently, the wrong one. Ha! Still, they said "for a bit", so maybe they'll take a swing by in November or something...don't give up hope, Toronto! And, yey! New stuff! I'm already lining up! :>

Beth, the Guelph show is indeed open to the general public, it costs 24 dollars at the door, or 22 dollars in advance...but you may not read this until tomorrow, or until it's too late. But anyways, you can't say I didn't try

Paring down the tour schedule? Los Angeles weeps copiously... :( :(
(but yay for new material!)

This isn't Guelph related, but is anyone trying to win tickets/ going to the Rock 95 show in Barrie? You don't even want to know how many times I call in a day to win tix. I can't compete when I'm calling long distance. Grrrrr. I don't care about winning the hot tub, the ski pass, the BBQ, or even the classic Corvette, (ok, maybe I care about that last one) I just want to see Sloan one last time this year.
If there is a magical Sloan fairy out there who has extra tickets to this gig, I'd love to hear from you.
oh yeah, new material is exciting. woo hoo!

Happy Birthday to Alexander Keith!!! And all those other celebraters out there, I know I'm not the only one, actually I'm sure of it. I only wish I was in Halifax to see the Trews and Joel Plaskett show.
