I figured that I would post the tracklisting for those who might be interested. I've included the vinyl list which is in the same sequence as the CD.

Either the sides are long (Todd Rundgren-length?), the songs short, or we have here a double-length "Abbey Road"-type album.
Either way, thanks for posting these, Mike!

Oh,
holy,
crap.
I can smell the doubly intoxicating smell of a 2-LP album already. :D
Tanya Kearney - August 15, 2006 4:45 PM
I have to say this is great news. I love the fact that it is a double disc! I can't wait to hear the new songs. Are any of them remakes of anything else?
Beth - August 15, 2006 4:47 PM
I think that photo above should be the LP cover. It's very Mondrian + "DIY". So hot right now.
eric - August 15, 2006 5:14 PM
I too am freaking out for ILL-PLACED TRUST!!! Who'd have thought?
Nikki - August 15, 2006 5:20 PM
Another tantalising snippet of what's to come! Thanks, Mike! Looking forward to the new record!
mickey aihara - August 15, 2006 6:23 PM
good morning from tokyo! :)
thanks for the great news, mike!
i can't wait to hear the new album.
jamie - August 15, 2006 8:04 PM
so when can we preorder the vinyl?????
Daniel - August 15, 2006 9:00 PM
A sloan cd with a run time over 30 minutes? Preposterous!
I'm really, really excited about this album. Like, with previous albums I've got my hands on any bonus tracks I could, and they were brilliant. Summer's My Season should have been on Between the Bridges. I just can't get enough Sloan.
Now I get treated to so much material and I am a happy camper. I'm always enthusiastic before a Sloan album, but this time I'm really excited. Andrew didn't get any tunes on the last one, and it's been a while since Action Pact, so this should all be gold. 30 tracks and no filler. But with Sloan, is there ever any filler? I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks Sloan!
Daniel
Frank - August 15, 2006 9:08 PM
Equally stoked!!! Hopefully we'll get a release date in the states around the same time as Canada!!! For Action Pact, I had to trek over the border to pick up a couple copys!!! Anything Sloan and I'm like a Taco Bell Crunchy Burrito..."Good to Go..."
Claire - August 15, 2006 9:34 PM
"People Think They Know Me" sounds like it came straight from a potential Lindsay Lohan song title generator.
Allegra - August 15, 2006 9:54 PM
I heard the album at work today and it is FABULOUS. Well, with the exception of one song but I'm not telling which.
Also, SOMEONE likes ending song titles with prepositions...
Tim Mason - August 15, 2006 11:01 PM
I'm guessing that all the colour coding beside the song title refers to the Sloan member who wrote it? I think the numbers add up... SLOOOAAAANNNNN! Come back to Barrie!
Mariko - August 16, 2006 12:14 AM
Don't forget the Japanese release, and hopefully... with MORE bonus tracks!
Andrew - August 16, 2006 9:18 AM
Well I'm OFFICIALLY extremely excited!
Beth Hamill - August 16, 2006 10:52 AM
Hey Tim Mason - unless we're dreadfully mistaken & misguided, yes the colour-coding would represent:
Red = Chris songs
Blue = Andrew
Yellow = Jay
Green = Patrick
It's also interesting to supersize the photo to read the little tabs on the right, which reveal what key all the songs are in!
Emily Abrams - August 16, 2006 11:06 AM
i'm getting more excited by the second! i cant wait for the album!:)
Mature Cheddar - August 16, 2006 11:27 AM
...this is good news...I like...alot.
and because of this I'm thinkinnggg...I don't know...some shows in Europe again in particular London!
Yeah what a great idea! Good thinking Mature Cheddar!
With all that sloan-ey goodness thats gonna be going on you've got to share some, you know spread it around.
Ruh - August 16, 2006 12:03 PM
Unless you're a music geek like me and figured out "Who Taught You ..." was in D when you first heard it, the little tabs noting the keys songs are in are lovely :D
And, um, NEW ALBUM. YOU GUYS ROCK. I don't know what to say really, everyone else already has, but I guess it doesn't hurt to say it again. So much love, Sloan and The Mike. :) TOUR PLEASE!
bill p - August 16, 2006 2:40 PM
So Andrew has more songs than Patrick? Surprising.
jamie - August 16, 2006 3:14 PM
clearly, andrew has to make up for not having any songs on the last album!
Rick - August 16, 2006 4:04 PM
30 songs!! Well that will keep our ears busy for quite some time. After hearing the first single I think this will be Sloan's best effort to date.
Colin - August 16, 2006 4:31 PM
Interesting idea to open the album with an Ozzy cover ;)
Ryan - August 16, 2006 6:07 PM
If the colour coding is correct, I'm sad there aren't more green coloured songs...but hey, 30 fresh new Sloan songs, I shouldn't be complaining. Can't wait for September 19th!!!!
Rich - August 17, 2006 12:35 AM
This is seriously good news!!! I hope to hear a few new songs live in Buffalo next week...I'll be making the trek from Philly, PA because I couldn't wait for a mid-September release, I need a Sloan fix now. ROCK ON FELLERS!
Kaori - August 17, 2006 12:19 PM
Is Sloan coming to Japan this time? We missed them for "Action Pact" and would love to see them in 2006-2007!!
Josh Salter - August 17, 2006 9:18 PM
Now that I know Andrew has a bunch of songs on this record I am even more excited. So far this is a pretty ambitious Sloan album. My expectations are actually pretty high now.
Cool - August 18, 2006 1:23 AM
Some of the song titles seem like they might have some continuity to them. Either than or I'm a moron. One of the two.
Stanley Shih - August 18, 2006 8:42 AM
But how much will it be on iTunes?
Chuck - August 18, 2006 10:24 AM
Good question, Jamie. When can I preorder the vinyl?
tsubame - August 18, 2006 10:53 PM
This will be the thing that knocks me off my Deep Purple kick. My fav band is finally releasing a new album and it looks awesome. I'll probably order the Canadian release from Amazon and then buy the Japanese release for the bonus tracks if there are any. It doesn't matter about the money. For Sloan it's worth it.
Get the stereo warmed up! It's soon time to rock with the best!
Allegra - August 19, 2006 3:25 AM
The very first track-by-track review is up on my music blog if anyone is interested. Don't read it if you want a complete surprise come September 19 but you know that the curiosity WILL eat away at your soul...
Okay maybe not nothing THAT serious, but it's a good album and I couldn't be prouder to be a long-term Sloan fan <3
Kyle - August 19, 2006 4:59 PM
Gunna cry...
Kathleen MacMaster - August 20, 2006 10:13 PM
I'm a little late replying here but better late than never.
Two vinyl albums? nice. I hope there's lots of pictures.
I'm giving 2 thumbs up for the album 'cause I know it's going to be awesome after hearing the first single 'Who Taught You To Live Like That?'
love,
Mary Kathleen MacMaster
Jeremy - August 21, 2006 4:21 PM
That's so great. How will 30 songs fit on one disc??? I didn't think Andrew wrote 2 minute songs. I hope there's not a lot of filler as someone else mentioned. The White Album and Sandinista come to mind...Also if those color codes mentioned are correct then I'm bummed about the Patrick songs because they're usually my favorites. Maybe it will be a matter of quality over quantity with his tunes. Looking forward to it either way.
Mer - August 21, 2006 5:45 PM
I just might explode with joy over this. I cannot wait for this album to hit the shelves. :D
Remi Gaudet - August 21, 2006 6:50 PM
Hey guys,
Can't wait for the new album!! Hope the Stones concert and the new stuff helps you guys out!!
by the way "action pact" was great,
wish ya the best, dont ever stop!

Phil - August 23, 2006 4:49 AM
Well... Chris' songs on Action Pact were pretty short if I recall. Jay's five long tunes will balance it out.

Ana Lucia, would that happen to be a reference to the character on Lost?
jack and five - August 24, 2006 11:16 AM
When's the US relaease date of this opus?
Jen - August 25, 2006 6:34 PM

i thought the same thing about the ana lucia song.
i'm such a lost nerdo. ;)
Chris - September 1, 2006 12:25 AM
fading into obscurity is such a fabulous song. it's on the myspace if you somehow don't know. i love it. a lot.
