A limited number of spaces will be available to fans through our website. Details on how to secure your spot will follow soon.
Sloan will be in full rehearsal mode through the beginning of September and this fall's shows promise to be great. For those of you keeping track, we will certainly see the return of the keys. There are a few more tricks up our sleeves as well...circular saw ?!
A complete list of Canadian tour dates should be ready to announce over the next week.

You have no idea how excited I am for this.
Wait... Lula Lounge? Why do I get the feeling that this isn't going to be all-ages?
Allegra - August 22, 2006 12:58 PM
I should really read websites before I jump to conclusions. This is AWESOME!
mike nelson - August 22, 2006 1:09 PM
The Lula Lounge party is licensed. I am not sure what this means in terms of who can/can't attend.
We will have a Toronto concert to announce soon that will be all ages and open to all.

I would like to volunteer to hold the Irish record release at my flat in Dublin. All you have to do is send me an advanced copy, and promise that all 4 Sloan members will show up. Dublin is 5 hours ahead of Toronto, so you should be able to make the release here and then get back in time for yours :)
Mike Nelson - August 22, 2006 1:43 PM
No problem Nikki,
I'll get the band over to hang out on the 18th, play the disc at midnight and then catch an early flight home.
Nikki Hoshal - August 22, 2006 1:53 PM
aww Mike, that's absolutely the correct answer. See you then! :P
Beth - August 22, 2006 2:08 PM
Wait, what?! A Sloan show in Toronto that isn't a festival?!?! Tell me it isn't a festival. Tell me there will be no Trews, Nickelback, or Hedley?? Tell me beer bottles won't fly at my head. Tell me what I want to hear.
I'm kidding. Good times!
Ruh - August 22, 2006 2:11 PM
Anybody want to volunteer to adopt me for the night? I will be in town. I will be free. I will be raring to come. And I will not have a family member who is of age to accompany me to this thing.
SO CLOSE.
Alex - August 22, 2006 2:29 PM
Ruh, you can be my long lost child for the night.
This could end up being a wild week. Sloan in TO and then drive non-stop to Halifax to chill in the greatest city in Canada and watch Sloan play again!!!
This will definately go down as the greatest year of my life.

Lula Lounge'll be an awesome place to catch them live. New single kicks ass. Looking forward to the rest of new album.
Kyle - August 22, 2006 4:18 PM
Uhhh...still jealous of you ruhee :P
Monz - August 22, 2006 4:22 PM
I am hoping this is the correct place to post my plea:
1) Please come to Chicago
2) Please do not play one of Shanahan's venues -- no Metro, No Double Door. There are lots of other good venues to play here!
3) Please remember that some of your fans are old now and an 11:00 start time with 3 openers would suck, even on a weekend.
Thanks!
Tanya Kearney - August 22, 2006 5:09 PM
Mike - Just make sure the guys wear protective eye gear when using the circular saw. If you're going to go the sledgehammer vs the watermelon route, perhaps you can dispense with the safety gear (but not if it's Chris using the sledgehammer).
Hope to hear some good news about London, ON soon - I am begging you to not play at Western but I bet you don't have any control over that.. or do you? If that's what it comes down to, I am going to definitely call in that favour you promised me.. I'm all over that. I'll email you when the tour dates are listed. ;)
Are you going to post any more new tracks on the board for the fans that check in regularly?
Tanya Kearney - August 22, 2006 5:10 PM
BETH - When (note I do not say IF) the band comes to London, we should hook up and chat. Either that or if you're covering Virgin Fest, maybe we can meet up there .. or .. at the Hidden Cameras show .. or .. at the Holy F*ck show .. or .. at another show.. do I see a pattern here?
Anyone else on the board from London? Let me know.
Mariko - August 22, 2006 10:46 PM
"international release dates to be announced soon. " too..., right?? and the JAPAN TOUR?!
chantel - August 23, 2006 6:05 PM
Oh this is so exciting. Its been awhile since I've been on the site. I'm super stoked about the new album. And this show seems like a dream come true, Its been far to long and I'm having sloan show withdrawls. Finally another tour, i'll be sure to yet again hit every show I can get to. I just moved and have no net so hopefully I'll beable to check back daily. I NEED to go to this.
Chuck - August 23, 2006 8:53 PM
It sure does suck to be an American Sloan fan...we get a later release date than Canada, and we certainly won't get to see Sloan as much as you Canadian folk. I certainly hope you appreciate your special Sloan rights!
Kevin - August 24, 2006 12:08 AM
Hey us american sloan fans on the boarder, i.e. buffalo get sloan all the time!
its awesome
sloan tomorrow afternoon for free
YES!
Looking forward to the show and to trash talking the leafs (all in fun of course) to all of the torontonians that will be here for it
SALLLLLLLLLOAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
Nicole - August 24, 2006 12:34 PM
Buffalo is an extension of greater Canada, right? Can't wait to see 'em here. Moving back home has been sooooooooo good.
P.S. Circular saw? Is that because the chainsaw is so passe? Please advise.
Ruh - August 24, 2006 12:36 PM
Nicole - I like your thinking. USA is just an enormous territory, rather than us being the 51st state. :D
Adam - August 24, 2006 4:42 PM
Come to Boston again. It's always a good time. You could come to Providence too, but being as it is an hour away, it is highly unlikely.
wandabun - August 27, 2006 1:25 PM
bitchin' - i hope to get into lula lounge... not only do i long for festival free sloan date, but i also adore the fact that i can ride my bike to this gig.
;)

Hey Mike
I'll be watching (listening) from my bro's back yard at the Stones show in Hali (you know what band I'll be there for), but I'm wondering if we'll see the boyz here in NB at some point, or in any other NS gigs. I'd drive a long way to see them.
