Pentland Speaks
Patrick Pentland has broken his silence about what actually happened on "that tour". Not everything is printable, or "printageous", as the American media loves to say these days. Not everything is interesting, but some of it is true. Check out his tour diaries.

<i>"There are other stories about Spain and bands and rock bars and boozing and whatnot, but not for these free pages."</i>
Then kindly point me in the direction of THOSE pages. Thank you & goodnight.

OMG, that was boring as hell.
Time for me to go take a dump.
Bingo bango.
Alicia - February 4, 2006 9:20 AM
....well... it seemed a little forced ... but I happily read it anyways :p
...I agree with Beth... what are you planning... to write a book ...lol
I guess I'll have to wait till the next noteworthy remarcable event ;)

(Aww man, I didn't mean to diss the tour entries, they are hilarious good fun.)
Also hilarious good fun: Upcoming <b>Sloan Tribute Night</b> @ the Boat in Toronto. Here it is pimped in Chart: CLICK.

"... fully expected the stones to suck ..."
gee, why would you?

i fully didn't expect the tour diary to suck.

Lay off the Pentland!
Miranda - February 7, 2006 7:01 PM
My Dad said Bingo Bango today at Mark's Work Warehouse....
"I'm gonna get in there, pick out a pair of pants, and try to be outta there within 15 minutes. BINGO BANGO!"
Patrick: cool
Dad: ...not so much

Hey, yesterday i went to the Supegrass concert in Toronto, and i stood next to Patrick Pentland and his girlfriend the whole show. I didn't get to meet him because i didn't want to disturb him but yeah, just thought i'd share. Email me if you want the details.
Lothriel - February 8, 2006 7:44 AM
Patrick: Thanks for sharing. Better than a kick in the pants. Short and sweet. ...not gonna say it.
J: Sweet! :)
Nikki - February 8, 2006 8:26 AM
Miranda you never fail to make me laugh! Bingo bango indeed! I think I'll have to introduce this one to our office soon. We've already discussed the merits of whipped cream bras. We've not employed this idea yet though! :-D
J, you sound supercool for not interrupting Pents and Mrs Pents. I hope they enjoyed the show. I loves me some Supergrass.
And yeah, tour diaries. I enjoyed the Stones related one more, but like Lothriel said, cheers for sharing; better than a kick in the, er, pants...

Ummm, Nikki, this is neither the time or the place, but you TOTALLY STOLE the user name I was going to use on Myspace :fist:
Patrick? Details? Dare I?
M - February 8, 2006 5:54 PM
One last thing... I like Patrick's tour reviews, but what about the other fellas? Oh, a review of London would me nice as well. ;)
Nikki - February 8, 2006 6:57 PM
Hey M! Heh, sorry about that. Originally I opted for Hollow Head, but that was taken. So :fist: at that! If you're on myspace, drop me an add and we can chat! Yeah, I too wouldn't half mind hearing a London review.
(M)iranda - February 8, 2006 7:44 PM
Nikki, it's me. HAR! I just got lazy and typed M. Plus, it sounds cooler. But yes, I shall drop you a line on your space. Ummm...Hollow Head was the name I was going to use before I found out it was taken as well. :fist: Everything Sloan-ish was taken. Peppermint, Navy Blues, I'am the Cancer....ALL TAKEN! Oh well. Mine is doubling as my future band name ;)
Nikki - February 9, 2006 4:08 PM
:fist: Miranda! I should have known! :-D
M sounds like some sort of evil genius name, I likes it. See you on the board/myspace/wherever some time soon missy! Bingo Bango! x
Snidely Beamish - February 12, 2006 12:20 AM
Alright, enough bingo bango, it wasn't his overused remark, it was the tours. It sounds like the tour was fun (why wouldn't it be, after all they were in Spain) and he was probably tired and burnt out when he wrote the notes for you. As far as the "free" pages, well, I don't know... Patrick, please enlighten us, if you would care to...
Racergrl754 - February 14, 2006 2:03 AM
A great website is one that is updated with news often, so keep up the diaries. Maybe what happens in Spain, stays in Spain?
You are right --Snidely--, that much travel in a short time would cause tired Sloans.
Let's not scare Patrick off from sharing his escapades, unless he is indeed, saving it for his memoirs?

I added a few diaries of my own. I will try to write a few more when I get a chance.
