It's great to see the "underappreciated" BtB get some credit. I've always said it's the best album Sloan has ever made (the new one of course may change that), and I'll never understand why it wasn't a bigger hit.
I wonder if Twice Removed/One Chord/Navy Blues are soon to follow into the Onion's hall of fame.
I've long thought that "Between the Bridges" is their most overlooked album. Whenever I introduce someone to Sloan, this is one of the albums that I copy/lend to them...Andrew's stuff on this record is particularly strong.
The N.S. - really? That's the only song on the album that I skip. It sounds like all the other Andrew songs. Not my fav (obviously!).
Congrats guys on the hall of fame. BTB, Twice Remove and Action Pact are high on my circulation list. Loving the new album, just wish there was more Patrick and less Andrew. Although I will admit that most of the Andrew songs are good for Andrew songs but to me just filler. (sorry Andrew, I'm a Chris/Patrick fan)
I saw Patrick & Jay's interview (in Montreal) @ MusicPlus TV yesterday. So... after the Canadian Tour, Sloan will go to Australia? Hummm... what about Japan Tour?! Anyway, Happy Birthday Jay!
Hey Paul Myers, I'm Berkeley-based as well. Do you know of any place around here to pick up the new album? I bought off VH1.com but they have been continually delaying the order.
I looked at that but shipping was super-expensive. (Of course, I would have paid it if it had come with the autographed photo, but I was too late for that.) If VH1 fails to come through though in the end I guess I'll do that, or I'll just wait until the winter holidays and buy it at home. I've also heard that Amazon.ca will ship to the US.
I had been thinking of holding out for a US version with bonus tracks, but then I realized that a) it won't be coming anytime soon, and b) they probably couldn't fit any extra stuff on the disc anyway.

I agree Chuck. "Delivering Maybes" and "The N.S." are amazing.
