This has to be my favourite episode to date. I LOVE live footage. I'm really digging these rather lengthy clips of the band just jamming on the new songs. The new material sounds awesome.
I wonder if Patrick was serious that he didn't play on 89% of the record. I wonder what he meant by that?
I guess as I type this in California, it's already Monday in the Mountain Time zone east, meaning the new record comes out tomorrow! Keep practicing, looking forward to Vancouver next month!
Okay, so I'm showing up at Frank's Music at 10 to pick up the first copy of NHtEoI in the store, then tearing the cellophane off it and getting them to play it on the store P.A. I am so glad I'm excited again for Sloan, after the Dalhousie gig last September and my initial disappointment over the leadoff single (now quasi-past), I was scared I was no longer a fan. Thanks to Sloanmusic.com and YouTube, I can say that I'm cheering once more for these guys, and their music. THANK YOU!
I'm hoping everyone who buys the album finds at least 40 minutes of music they like. When will the vinyl be available? KGB
I'm surprised to hear Chris's song having changed so for the live version. So they already have the keyboard player? Oh well, maybe they could get him to play acoustic guitar as well? Andrew's song is great, too. This might be the right tour to focus on a LOT, A LOT of new stuff.

Andrew's Mosrite kicks some serious ass in the guitar collector department...

I agree, best clip yet!

All the clips are awesome...but did anyone happen to notice that they spelled 'rehearsal' wrong?
Ruh - September 18, 2006 3:08 PM
yes! I'm glad you did too, I was afraid I was too nitpicky! :P

So what's up with the Bearded Wonder? Will Sloan be adding another member on stage? That's different...and yet surprisingly delightful.
It's been way too long since Andrew's songs have graced an album...that's about to change tomorrow.
Bring it on.

Pat's comment on only playing on 11% of the album confused me too. I usually think of him as Sloan's second-from-front man.

That Andrew song sounded excellent.

There's nothing you can do about the fact that Andrew kicks serious butt.
All questions will be answered, all of the deaf will hear, all of the people will ROCK!
Sloan is back today!
