If there's one thing Greg knows how to play, it's cowbell. Goose, I know you are reading the comments here - so I want to pass on my congrats on the new gig, it sure beats bumming around Vancouver. But seriously, do you miss the hangover breakfasts at the Reef on Main Street as much as I do?
So he's conquered the west coast and now to start on the east coast. Greg is one of the most versatile, talented and hardest working musicians to ever come out of Vancouver. You guys bagged a little gem, a little chubby jem with a lovely falsetto. And as for "bumming around vancouver" I don't think Greg has spent more than two weeks at home in the past 3 years. Greg when you're done with the east coast and you want to conquer the arctic coast just let me know.
The west coast infiltration has begun. One by one Vancouverites will replace the Halagonians, kind of like how Trooper is still touring with one original member, and a bunch of randoms who were foolish enough to sign up for a Trooper reunion.
That aside, congrats on the gig Greg. Someday we'll have to finish playing "One Chord". Would it be faux pas now that you're in the group?
I got the new album yesterday and listened to it with my son on the way to see Sid the Kid play in his hometown of Halifax. It was an amazing day! It'll take some time to digest all the new material, but right off I like HFXNSHC. I'm pretty sure what the first five letters represent. Anybody have an idea what HC means? Hard Core maybe?
After seeing that clip, I can't be jealous of him (even though I have often dreamed about being the keyboardist/acoustic guitarist/backup bassist/percussionist/harmony singer of the group... well, since buying Twice Removed, actually). Ya did good, keep it up. :)
greg... this is all too much. could you teach them "Lincoln Green"? or "Bomb at the Party"? or perhaps even "Kiss My Car"? they need to branch out. they play too many "Sloan-y" type songs. ...kevin
^^ I thought the same exact thing -- yet another Beatles parallel since Preston showed up on the scene between the recordings of Abbey Road and Let It Be. Uh oh....

Just what your band has always needed... a bearded lumberjack. If my pre-order of the album doesn't come in the post soon I'm gonna die!

awww. it was cute that he said "it's a dream come true." The Make a Wish Foundation is going to be flooded with Sloan letters now. ;)

Got my CD from Maple Music today! I was shocked! It was only sent out yesterday .. I was so surprised and happy!
I haven't had a chance to get through the entire disc yet.. but I will be devoting some hard core time to it shortly! :)

Npw that is very cool to see.
Sloan has been a tight group for a long time.
Its good to see an addition and I'm sure it will bring some new life.
He obviously fits in because they are already making fun of him....the make a wish foundation thing made me pee a little bit.
That was really funny
