Chris and Patrick will be featured on CBC Radio's "Sound's Like Canada" tomorrow morning at 10:00am across the country. You can catch the signal online at www.cbc.ca
Right now, I'm listening to the on line feed from Winnipeg. A great interview with Chris and Patrick. Highly recommended! Plus, there is next hour's feed from Calgary or Edmonton, and then another, an hour later, from Vancouver, so I might listen to it again. So far, it's a great interview!
Gosh, I've got everything set to see them in Vancouver next month. Only 32 days to go!
A full hour! For a new Sloan fan like I am (about a year), this interview as both a fountain of information as well as a great chance to "get to know" the the guys. Shelagh Rogers played a song from each of the members, Jay's "Who Taught You to Live Like That", Chris' "Fading into Obscurity", Patrick's "Listen to the Radio", and a song that Andrew wrote that I didn't catch the title of, but was great. The show opened with "Flying High Again".
Part of the reason for this interview was the upcoming show in Halifax with the Stones. The interview ended with both Chris and Patrick giving their favorite songs from the Rolling Stones' album "Some Girls", which came out at about the 15 year point in the their careers, which mirrors where Sloan is in their career.
I really can't wait until my copy of the CD makes it here from Toronto!
My SLOAN cd just arrived in the mail along with the autographed photo...very nice pic! It's going to be a GREAT weekend...Guess what my husband and I will be listening to..............Slooooan!!! I can't wait to give it a listen! :)
I hope there is a link for the people that missed the live broadcast. I am dying to hear the new stuff. Still waiting to get my cd in the mail. Ugh I hate this waiting, its driving me nutz. From what I have heard from other people is that the record is great which makes the wait even more agonizing.
This is the greatest thing that has happened to me as a Sloan fan since 98-99 when the whole Navy Blues-4 Nights-Between The Bridges-seeing-them-live-3-times in the space of 18 months happened!!!
hey Chris, when you said that you'll be around for 100 years, I really hope that happens. I might even invest in an oxygen chamber to sleep in....
