Chris Murphy had returned to Sloan's hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia for the weekend and accepted the award on behalf of the band.

Congratulations on winning in the most important category. It would have been a better show if Sloan would have performed though or if the award had been broadcast, boo on that part. Conrats on the Juno nom too! I hope you guys win,win,win,. Deanne
