Sloan grabbed a nomination for Best Rock Album in this year's Juno Awards. The Junos celebrate achievement in the Canadian music industry, and it is wonderful news that their latest album "Never Hear The End Of It" honoured with a nomination.
This year's awards will take place in Saskatoon on the weekend of March 30th through April 1st.
I know you will win. NHTEOI is the best album they have done to date. And considering Twice Removed is considered a Canadian classic, that is really saying something.
Hey, 'nippleholic,' I checked out that Chart piece and laughed out loud when I read "Jay Ferguson was there too, but he's the strong silent type." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BEST.
Also, congrats Sloan! The recognition is well-deserved. I hope you can win this category (and if you lose, it better not be to Mobile :| ...)
and might I just add, that etalk daily interview you guys did - hilarious. if this whole singing/playing instruments gig doesn't pan out, I'd say definitely take your comeday act on the road!
Never Hear the End of It is an eclectic album which once again underscores the versatility and creativity which has kept Sloan's fans listening for years. This nomination is well deserved. Good luck.

And don't forget about the three ECMA nominations for the group. The East Coast Music Awards are next weekend in Halifax.
Sure wish I could be there!

yay congrats guys! you guys have some serious competition but I think you can come out on top - who can argue with a solid 30 track record?
