Stay tuned for more info on the LA show. There are no tickets, it's a club night at CineSpace. So, it's either free or a few bucks to get in. Either way you should plan to get there early. We'll let you know as soon as we get more details.

this just in, more info...

it's a $5 cover, no advanced tickets, doors are at 10pm, and it's 21+. Sloan will go on around 11:30pm, get there early. it's a popular club, so it fills up quickly, and they will close the doors when it gets to capacity.

it's the official album release party, it's going to be fun. join us!

I just checked out the Chart Voter's page. Sloan are behind by 600 votes for best album and I can't understand why. NHTEOI is by far the best album of the year. I've already voted about 75 times, and I'm gonna vote more. But Sloan won't win if YOU don't vote a few (read: 25) times. It may not seem important, but for a band that's been around for about 15 years and never received the credit they deserved, the Golden Toque Award might be nice. So c'mon, get off your lazy arses and vote for the best band in the land! We owe them for that great album they gave us!!

I'm glad you're doing something fun (and warm) for the U.S. release. I have the Canadian version and I can't stop listening to it. I can't wait to see you in Buffalo in 2 weeks. Hopefully you can sign my cd. OMG, I almost forgot! Jay my daughter took a pic with you when you were in Buffalo in Aug. She wants me to get it signed so we can blow it up into a really cool poster, hope that's ok. She loves you!

I'll be there tonight - woot! Oh yeah, and for those of you elsewhere it's about 85 degrees and sunny here. It's been 50ish until yesterday, so the weather gods want to welcome Sloan, too, I guess.

cinespace was disgraceful - fans (idiots) queued up, connecetd people got in. very hollywood, sloan.

My boyfriend got me into Sloan, he is a HUGE fan. So all week long we were on a strict Sloan diet, to prepare for the album's launch party...

It was depressing. Nothing but scenesters got in, and those of us who were dumb enough to get in line missed half the show. And we only got in because I threw a tantrum, and told the bouncer that he was ruining my very first Sloan show experience.

^^^Ahhh, this is exactly what I couldn't stomach while living in Hell Lay.

Look at it this way -- the next time Sloan come around on a tour, you kids will have tickets in hand (too bad about this show) because you're awesome fans who know that the second Sloan tickets go on sale, they must be purchased. The scenesters who got in won't. When they try to talk their way in or buy tickets (yeah, right) for the show it will already be sold out, making them far less hip than they thought they were.

And you guys will enjoy the brilliance, energy, and joy with a perfect crowd.

yeah, my experience at the Cinespace show was equally as awful. waited an hour and a half while dipshits sucked off bouncers and got in. by the time we got in, the band was 3/4 into their set. the sound was bad too, unlike a typical Sloan show.

were most people there to see Sloan? not fucking likely...

I was entertained by those in line who didn't know or care about Sloan, they just wanted in to the club.
