Win Tickets to Sloan live at the Orange Lounge

Sloan's ninth album, "Parallel Play", will be released next Tuesday, June 10th.

We will be launching the album with a taping of a performance for MSN Sympatico's Orange Lounge series. This will be filmed live at the Tattoo Rock Parlour in Toronto on June 10th, and broadcast via the internet on the MSN Sympatico website.

Sloan have been given a limited number of passes to give out fans. Please e-mail info@sloanmusic.com with "Orange Lounge Passes" in the subject to enter the contest. Two passes will be given to the first 20 people we hear from. We'll alert the winners via e-mail and the passes can be picked up at the door next Tuesday night. Please note that this event is 19+.

We are also playing a NXNE showcase set on Thursday June 12th at 8pm at the Mod Club. NXNE wristbands and passes will be accepted and a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

I will be letting people know by Friday afternoon who has won the passes. I am still waiting to get my final allotment from Sympatico. If I get more passes, I will give them away as well in the order I received the e-mail entries. Thanks!

Congratulations to Sloan on releasing a ninth album! As usual I'll be heading out to the music store Tuesday morning to pick it up. I've been crazy busy here, but hope to see Sloan in the fall if that is when they make it out to the Vancouver area. Although I must admit I'd think NHTEOI will be a tough act to follow and has certainly become one of my personal Sloan faves. Anyway best wishes as always, with bated breath. Deanne
