This week we kick things off with a few press and promo appearances. You can hear a live performance of a few on the new songs and an interview with Alan Cross on Explore Music later today. Sloan will be the Friday live guests on CBC's Q, I guess it is redundant to suggest that you can listen to that on Friday morning.
For those of you in the Toronto area, you can catch the first live performance of some of the new songs from "The Double Cross" at our Sonic Boom instore on Saturday the 14th at 4pm. Sonic Boom is also a great place to buy Sloan vinyl. Please remember to bring a donation for the food bank if you are coming to enjoy this FREE performance.
As you may have noticed, we are in the process of updating our website and have opened a new store. Please come back over the next couple of days as we add all of the new XX merchandise to the shop.
We've also just launched a new series of videos, produced and directed by our dear friend Catherine Stockhausen. Here's the first one, expect the rest of the series in daily installments over the next two weeks.

See ya in Philly! - May 10, 2011 9:54 PM
Nice work--beautifully arranged, well written, mature, excellent album...just what I'd would expect to come out of you guys after 20 years...I was 15 when I first heard Underwhelmed on a small indie rock station in New Jersey (106.1), and I ran to Sam Goody and bought the cassette tape the next morning. Thanks for the past two decades, and thanks for always coming back to Philly to play in little places like Kung Fu Nectie, the Khyber, World Cafe, etc, so this fan could grow up singing her heart along with you. Cheers!

Yes, this new album is excellent, a kind of shorter NHTEOI (Sloan's masterpiece IMO). Congrats to you all ! Can't wait to see you on tour in France !... wait... not sure it'll happen some day soon. Too bad !
By the way, why not reissue some kind of "deluxe" versions of the early albums, with demos, alternate or live tracks on bonus cd ?

Hey Mike/Jay/Da Boys, could you list all the promo freebies so-and-so is giving away with XX? I stumbled across the HMV pin and was lucky to get one of the 65 handmade album covers. I intentionally preordered two LP copies from YepRoc, but only got one poster: BooUrns (whatever that means). But hey... Is that a preteen Jay F with Wayne Gretzky? :)
Rockin' the MP3s... Side 1 is outtasite!!!

Loving the new album thank you! I can't believe it has taken me so long to find you! Every time I hear the bridge in The Answer Was You I am convinced that it's Andy Sturmer singing - is it? I still love Jellyfish...
