We will be filming a new music video for the new track Witch's Wand on December 20th! Now we need you help! We are looking for volunteers that want to be a part of this.

We will once again be working with Michael Leblanc which we filmed the video for "Flying High Again". He has worked with tons of Canadian musicians to make some very stunningly artistic videos. You can see his other work here www.michaelleblanc.ca

Andrew Scott and Ian McGettigan recently sequestered themselves in Sloan's studio space to write the original music to accompany Michael Melski's latest feature Growing Op.  Sloan also contributed a song to the soundtrack.  Check local listings for theatrical showings, and DVD release dates.

Asked about the soundtrack and the score, Melski said "We have some of the best artists in the country who’ve contributed, including Matt Mays and El Torpedo, Joel Plaskett Emergency, Classfied, Jill Barber, Amelia Curran, Nathan Wiley; it’s an incredible list and they’re all Canadian...And the original score is by Andrew Scott, drummer for the world-renowned rock group Sloan. It’s his first time scoring a picture, and he did an incredible job, along with Ian McGettigan, of really complementing the songs we’d already chosen with really sensitive instrumental pieces that are so appropriate for the movie."

Lenny Kravitz has canceled the balance of his scheduled Canadian tour.

Sloan are currently booking their own shows in central and eastern Canada and we will have new tour dates to announce soon.  Stay tuned for updates.

Andrew has recently contributed a piece of original artwork to "A Brush of Hope" a charity auction to benefit the Kidney Foundation of Canada. You can check out his canvas on eBay along with contributions from a number of other notable Canadians.

Due to a family medical issue, Sloan had to pull out of the support position on Lenny Kravitz' western Canadian dates. We intend to fulfill our commitment to play on his rescheduled eastern shows in Kitchener and St. John's.

Sloan will also be booking their own shows in Ontario and the Eastern Canada. We expect to have more tour dates to announce soon.

A big thanks to all of the Lenny Kravitz band, crew and fans who have supported and encouraged us on the dates that we were able to complete.

The recent Will Currie and the Country French / Sloan collaboration "Push Pins" has been making some waves. It has recently been featured as a pick on both John Sakamoto's Anti-Hit List and CBC 3's Podcast.

The bands have also been performing the song live on their western Canadian concert dates. Still another week of shows to go in Alberta and BC. Please try to catch one if you are in the vicinity.

We should also acknowledge the immediate support of Radio MRCH, which instantly added the track to heavy rotation. It is already at number three on their charts! Thanks to Skip Lowe and all of the MRCH Morning Zoo for helping to take this track to the next level!
