Jay will be on Toronto's The Edge 102.1 today at 4:20pm EST speaking with Bookie about murderecords’ new releases, the murderecords CMW showcase, and what Sloan have been getting up to recently.
If you’re nowhere near a radio in Toronto, you can listen in on-line on The Edge’s website: www.edge102.com.
Sloan are happy to be hosting a label showcase at this year's Canadian Music Week to promote our exciting new spring line-up on murderecords. Sloan have owned and run murderecords over the past 16 years.

Sloan will be performing a showcase set of mostly new material from their forthcoming album due to be released on murderecords later this spring.

Patrick will be spinning at Toronto's newest rock and roll hotbed, Tattoo (567 Queen Street West), on St. VDay. Everything from "Livin' After Midnight" to "Hell Bent For Leather", and maybe some Sloan or two.
And keep Friday nights open too, as Patrick is still a Darth Virgo with Al 911 at the Bovine Sex Club (542 Queen Street West).
Don't be shy, go on out and say hi.
Sloan's "Keepin' The Tour Alive" has been nominated for DVD of the Year at this year's East Coast Music Awards. This year's awards will take place in Fredericton in early February. The director of the DVD, Kevin Hilliard is planning to make the journey to New Brunswick and is actively cajoling members of Sloan to join him. We'll see if anybody takes him up on the offer.
Hilliard traveled with Sloan on their Action Pact tour filming hours upon hours of live footage and behind the scenes antics. The DVD is available via Sloan's online store. Since word of the nomination, they've been going fast, so I have shipped extra stock to our retailer. Check back soon if we run out.
If you happen to be a member of the East Coast Music Association, please vote (preferably for us).
Sloan's "Never Hear The End Of It" was released in the US on the first week of January 2007. As we welcome the new year, it is nice to see the album making it onto some year-end top album picks. Here are some notable links:
Sloan have claimed three spots on a new list of Canada's top albums. Music journalist Bob Mersereau compiled the list after polling close to 600 of the nation's music industry insiders. Twice Removed landed at number 14, One Chord to Another at 34 and Smeared at 86.
Chris Murphy will be appearing on CBC radio's Q this afternoon to talk about the list. CBC's website features local feeds from across Canada, so if you miss it in one time zone you may catch it in another.
Patrick will be sharing DJ duties with HYFY's AL911, under the name Darth Virgos, on Friday nights at Torontos Bovine (538 Queen Street West). Music begins blaring @ 10 pm.
Chris and Jay were interviewed for iNDiGO.TV during Sloan’s Spring '07 USA Tour. Watch and learn as they discuss white elephants, Chris’ fascination with “Mini Me”, band bonding, Patrick’s hair, and slappin’ high fives. The video includes live performance clips from South Paw in Brooklyn, NY.
