A recent article on MTV.com revealed some more details about Sloan's upcoming CD/DVD package.
"A Sides Win: Singles 1992-2005" will be released in early May. It will include two new songs which Sloan have just finished mixing with Dave Ogilvie. Patrick's "All Used Up" will be heading to radio soon, to be followed by Chris' "Try to Make It".
The DVD will feature all of Sloan's videos, a new documentary on the bands experience making the videos, as well as live performances of all of the singles. It is all coming together and it looks really great.

As you might have noticed, I have been able to start filling in some of Sloan's May tour dates. There should be a lot more to announce next week. Anybody with access to a calendar and a map could make some educated guesses about what might be in store.
After our US and Canadian western shows we are planning on continuing through central Canada and the American northeast. Stay tuned for frequent tour updates.
In other ongoing news, the band is moving ahead quickly with their singles collection/DVD project. We are looking at US and Canadian release dates in early May to correspond to all of the shows we have planned. We'll keep you posted as details are available.
Sloan have once again made it to the top of Chart Magazine's critics' poll. Twice Removed was named the best Canadian album of all time. Smeared, One Chord to Another and Navy Blues also made the top 50.
In addition to the album poll, Sloan landed 5 spots in the top 50 Canadian songs, with Underwhelmed landing the number 2 spot just behind the Guess Who's "American Woman".

We are slated to play the festival on Sunday, May 1st. This should coincide with the release of our new CD/DVD and we plan to begin a full Canada/US tour around this time. We will announce more tour dates as they are confirmed.

We've added a new feature to the Sloan website to help you keep up-to-date with what's going on with the band. Our new Email Newsletter gets your name, email, and location, so we can let you know when something's going to be happening in your area. So, for instance, when we're playing a show in your neighborhood we'll send an email about it. And, of course, we aren't going to go sharing your email address or information with anyone. Sign-up today and keep informed.
Well, hello... it's only a few days into the new year and we're back in the studio. This past week we started recording 2 new songs that will be included as part of our upcoming, yet still untitled, "greatest
hits/singles" CD.
I never thought 'The First Cut Is The Deepest' and 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door' were so easy to play.......OK, just kidding....it's 2 new originals. Here's a few pictures of us for proof.
Hopefully we'll have this out just in time for summer.... and yes we are planning on DVD material to be included as well. We're still finalising what will be included... as much as we can fit!
Stay tuned. Happy New Year. Jay

With a quick glance at the tour dates, you can see that we are finally going to get to spend a bit of time at home in Toronto. This will give Sloan a chance to write and record some new material, and think about what will be in store for next year. We will keep the news updated as plans for the winter come together.
Thanks to all who have supported us over the last few months on the road! We have really appreciated all of the show reviews and photo submissions.
