For reference sake, Waterloo is about an hour outside of Toronto, four hours from Detroit, six from Montreal, ten from NYC, and four or five days driving from LA or Vancouver.
Having spent the long winter putting together the forthcoming Singles collection and DVD, the band is really looking forward to getting back in front of a live audience.
Fans in Waterloo, Barrie and Peterborough will be treated to an up-close and personal night of Sloan's singles and fan favorites, as well as a couple of new songs that have yet to be performed live.
Sloan will be joined by The Weekend for these three shows.
I am looking into some options for advance purchase of tickets for those traveling from out of town. I will let everybody know if I can get something worked out.
The band shot the video for "All Used Up" this past Thursday, March 10. Look for Patrick's trusty Randy Rhodes Flying V knock-off that he hasn't rocked with since his days in The Convulsions and Happy Co. The single is scheduled to hit radio next month. We'll keep you updated as to when you may start the request onslaught.
Update: Here are some photos from the video shoot...
"A Sides Win: Singles 1992-2005" will be released in early May. It will include two new songs which Sloan have just finished mixing with Dave Ogilvie. Patrick's "All Used Up" will be heading to radio soon, to be followed by Chris' "Try to Make It".
The DVD will feature all of Sloan's videos, a new documentary on the bands experience making the videos, as well as live performances of all of the singles. It is all coming together and it looks really great.
