Next Wednesday Aug.20, Jay will be manning the wheels of steel at the Rivoli (334 Queen St. West, Toronto) as part of the monthly Umbrella Music nights. He'll be the tune selector for the eve in between Andrew Spice, Nathan Lawr, Gentleman Reg and Pony Da Look. Well now that's a good gig.

Here is the first round of Summer festival tour dates. There will be more shows to announce over the next few weeks. Expect to see a Canadian tour in September-October with American and other international dates to follow.

UPDATE: Due to a scheduling mix up neither Chris or Jay will be able to attend. Hopefully Jay will DJ an Umbrella Music night in the future.
Sloan recently returned home from recording their new record in Los Angeles. With a dozen great songs ready to go, we are now busy working towards an early summer release date with BMG Canada.

Sloan recently teamed up with producer Tom Rothrock to start recording a new album. They are currently in Los Angeles recording at Conway Studios and The Embassy. Tom has worked with lots of great artists in the past (Elliot Smith, Badly Drawn Boy, R.L. Burnside, Beck) and Sloan are happy to have him on board for this project. We are aiming for an early summer release and plan to follow up with lots of touring. Keep checking this site for updates, as things should be getting busy soon!
The March edition of Chart Magazine will feature Jay's interview with guitar idol Johnny Marr. A long-time fan of Marr’s work with the Smiths, Jay was able to catch up with him during a Toronto show in January.
