awesome show. It was the first time I have ever seen Sloan live, and to see them in my hometown is even cooler. Well I loved every part of it, and I too stand with everyone and hope that Sloan comes back to Kitchener very soon! I would definately go if they did!

For those interested, I've posted photos of the warm-up band and Sloan on my journal at:

First of all, I'd like to say that Kitchener roads don't make any sense to the out-of-towner. After we got lost a few times, we managed to make it to the venue!

Much better atmosphere there than here in London. We decided to try for the front this time instead of lingering at the back like usual - although the tall guy that shoved us out of the way was sort of a downer, being a little closer in a small venue was a nice change.

The setlist was pretty much the same as the night before, but we came prepared. Thanks to the band for reading our sign and playing I Am The Cancer - maybe someday I'll actually get to hear Deeper Than Beauty in concert - after 7 shows, I am old hat and starting to miss the old tunes.

It was a wild and wacky night - the shirt didn't make it unfortunately for us. Maybe next time.

Thanks to Chris, Andrew, Patrick and last but NOT least, Jay, for continuing to champion Canadian music and staying strong after all these years.

See you guys at Olympic Island!

ps. Patrick - can't believe you actually shaved it off. Kudos for continuing the hair fashion show. :)

Didn't see the Kitchener show but caught them in Ottawa the next night . . . hoo boy, did Chris have some wisecracks about what a crappy audience you all were in Kitchener!

I was also at the Kitchener show, and that was by far the worst crowd I'd ever been a part of. It's pretty hard to acheive a total lack of audience participation at a Sloan show, but this crew managed it. These people would get reamed at a KISS concert. I thought the show was great and I'm glad that they played everything off of Action Pact, because the album absolutely rocks! Maybe the band can make a live single of just Money City Maniacs and Rest of My Life to distribute in Kitchener so that they never have to play for those statues again.

I was slightly dissappointed with this show. it's not the band i hate, it's their fans... (well, not all of them)
the crowd was really weak. unfortunately, i got stuck behind a couple of drunk-make-out idiots. they didn't know any of the songs and were more interested in humping in front of a crowd. they stopped making out for two minutes to give a hammered hoot and holler to the music. unfortunately, chris gave them props for their efforts. what a waste.

p.s. i too would love to hear deeper than beauty.

Ok, so it's been a while since the show, and I'm not huge on checking comments, so it took me a while to get here...

Anyway - I was at the show. I'm not going to apologize for the shitty audience because regardless of how pathetic the rest of the audience was, I, the girl to my right, and the guy to my right, were all singing every single word to every single song. My jaws actually hurt the next day from smiling, singing, and screaming too much. Everybody else there may have been a disinterested git, but I was having an amazing time, and for the record - my friend, a true music dork and fan of the band - has never EVER looked happier to me than he did that night. So, if nothing else, the band can take solace in the fact that at least we were thoroughly rocked.
