Sloan

Ahh yes, I recall this night...I ended up leaving my good pal Matt at the show and going to the downtown club 'Lush' only to realize I'd left him there stranded. So I drive back, searched frantically but alas, could not find him. Kind of a metaphor for my youth, to which Sloan was a constant soundtrack and the touchstone of Canadian-cool; good intentions, but ulitmate failure. I can't really remember much, other than the fact that Danko Jones opened up and Jay was blaring Mos Def or Q-Tip in between bands...odd. I do recall all of Edmonton's prettiest rock kids seriously groovin', as Sloan always brought out the best crowd...pretty together? Indeed...cheers fellas
