This was my first sloan show, and I was made a believer ever after. The venue was perfect. It was like seeing them in your church's basement. The Flashing Lights opened and rocked it out. It was one of the few times where the opening band was worth seeing. It was definitely an awesome experience.
good times...too many high school kids there, but the opening was awesome. music started with the curtains closed, curtains opened with the band all in a frozen pose. the band came out of the freeze one by one, first the drum beat then a guitar and so on. great start to a great show.
I was one of those many high school kids there for this one. It was my first Sloan concert and the beginning of a long lasting love affair which has taken me across this fine province. The venue was kinda sad but it sounded great and Patrick's hair looked kick ass and, honestly, that's all that really matters.
