An amazing night in an amazing venue. A 5 storey open sound studio was the backdrop for this show which featured an incredible opening set from a very unique band. Rick of the Skins had the audience psyched and rockin' with their diversity in music and instrument switching between band members. After the opening set, the all black sound studio had its spectacular lights dimmed as smoke rained down in an eery circular pattern from the center of the ceiling five storeys up. The sirens from Money City Maniacs rang in the background as Sloan took the stage and just as the smoke slowly encircled the mass of people on the floor the bass started pumping and the show began. The most visually and sonically satisfying Sloan show I've ever been to.
