Sloan

While this was probably my fifth or sixth time seeing Sloan (who also happen to be the first band I ever saw live), this one was also particularly special to me. I had a side-stage pass for the DV8 festival because I worked at a crummy, overpriced concession stand, but it paid in spades because the view was great! Their version of Sensory Deprivation was particularly raucous that night and was all the better because Chris pounded the kit like nobody's business with a big grin on his face, all the while staring at us through his aviators. Classic.
