Sloan

Okay, so its been two years since that show, but I'm still telling peeps here in Calgary all about it! There's nothin' like being so close you can see what colour the guys' guitar picks are!! It was the second most fun concert I've ever been to! (The most fun was when Sloan played the Calgary Stampede July '03) The guys are musically gifted, lyrically talented, and know how to rock a crowd! They know what "rock'n'roll is about!!"

K, this is another review from a show years ago, but I just wanted to add my two cents.
I was visiting a friend of mine in Hali at the time, and she told me the good news about the boys playing Snow Jam while I was there. I was a great show, and such a treat to see them in their hometown. My friend and I took our spot in front of Jay, as usual, and I remember almost fighting with these tall, drunk guys in front of us cause they were being rude and blocking our views... I was there to drool, as well as enjoy the fantastic sound. We were right at the stage, and got some great pics. It was an amazing day all around, and it was cool that we got to hear some of the new songs (The Other Man, If It Feels Good Do It). I also remember dancing outside the gates to some street musician playing music on old plastic buckets and such. I think more people were watching us, then him... and no, we wern't drunk. Great memories.
