Hey guys.. I think it's awesome that you got to open up for Oasis - which probably got you some exposure with their fans - but I really only went to see you!
Got the tix when a friend told me - got back from Japan just in time to see you guys. Great show - but the venue was soo huge - especially compared to the Osaka Club Quattro. I felt great that I had seen you before, but just the same, it was great to sit back with my 26oz beer, on the grass, with the sun shining.
I only came for you - sorry to say I left when Oasis started. That Sam Roberts was a great opener too .. I hope you guys play the Amphitheatre in your own headlining show .. you guys more than deserve it.
Found a setlist for this show...and you guys put on an excellent performance on a great bill! Great openers for Oasis...you guys blew Mercury Rev out of the water!

What a show! I was SO cool seeing Sloan on the same bill as Oasis!! I got there in time to see all five bands.
Sam Roberts came on first. At that point not too many people had arrived yet, but Sam put on a good show and the small minority of the crowd that had arrived by that point seemed to like it.
The next band was the Soundtrack Of Our Lives. They're from Sweden and were just being introduced to North America. I wasn't too familiar with their music at that point but since then, I have become a huge fan.
The next band to come on was Mercury Rev. It didn't go too well for them. They were not the right kind of band to impress an Oasis audience. The lead singer's high-pitched voice probably didn't help too much, either. I got on my nerves a bit.
By the time Sloan came on, the place was almost full. They got so much enthusiasm from the crowd that it almost seemed like they were the headlining band. Sloan's had already been big in Canada for a long time, so they must have just done that gig because they like Oasis so much, which I am happy to know. They put on a great show!!
By the time Oasis came on, the place was completely full. It appears they can lure in a bigger crowd in Toronto than anywhere else in North America! They also put on a great show and the place seemed to be full of hard core fans. It was one great night! Thanks, Sloan for adding to the excitement!!
if anyone has a recording of this show (I know it existst!) I'd be willing to trade other Sloan bootlegs or do a B+P...

Of all the Sloan shows I've seen, this is the best one. I never realized it was so long ago.
