Fan Reviews

This show was awesome! It was our first opportunity to see Sloan in concert and we were not disappointed. Chris was so friendly and even autographed my pocketbook at my request...

This was sloan's first show in the New Cotton Club which is located next to Centennial Olympic Park. The new venue is much larger than the old Cotton Club which sort of made the crowd seem smaller than past Sloan shows in town. What the crowd lacked in numbers it made up in volume. Honest to god, the boys can turn wallflowers into party animals. It was just amazing as far as band-crowd interaction went. Everyone.....everyone was singing along, clapping to the fullest extent of their hearts. I guess everyone sloan show is like that, but the fact that the place wasn't close to selling out versus the volume of the club was insane. Loudest per capita show ever. Also, I presented Jay and Chris with an official petition from the City of Athens, Georgia that the band starts skipping Atlanta and play the 40 watt here. The petition had 300+ names including Moe Tucker (Velvet Underground), Vic Chestnut, Mike Mills, Jeff Mangum(Neutral Milk Hotel), members of The Glands, Olivia Tremor Control, Elf Power, and on and on. So, hopefully they will consider this when they book their next southern u.s. tour.
