Great show tonight guys. Happy birthday Chris! :D Definitely one of the most energetic shows I've ever been to. My ears are still ringing!! Highlights were when the girl threw her bra on stage and Chris hung it on Patrick's guitar. The Action Pact material sounds great guys! If you are ever given the chance to see Sloan, you shouldn't even give it a second thought. Just buy your ticket and go. SLLOOOOAAAANNNNN!!!!!
this is my second sloan show. they were AMAZING! Jay signed my arm after the show, thanks jay, and chris told me he liked my mohawk! happy birthday chris, great show!
SWEEET :D
5 Year anniversary show ... last show of the tour ... all the greats ... what else could you ask for? I won my tickets .. thats what :D Oh but don't worry, I own every Sloan CD, I support! :P
Cheers

its the next morning and i cant hear shit....Im thinkin thats sure sign of a rockin time (eww..that rhym was just digusting). AMAZING concert. It was my first sloan show so i dont know how it compares to other days...but it was definately the most enjoyable show ive been to in a while (beating out Foo Fighters by a long shot). Thanks to the boys in sloan making last night the crazy experience it was....and dont hesitate to put on a show anytime soon! (at least ill be there!) Best song id say would have had to have been "if it feels good do it"....loads of energy from the crowd and the band...lots of rocking out...lots of fun...thanx again!
p.s does anybody know what the set list was?
You guys Rock!
Last night was my first sloan concert ever, and it was incredible! The lights, the awesome classic tunes from not only sloan, but the high dials, and the excitement in the crowd made it out to be something like a religious experience! I am always amazed by these guys and their vocal harmony, but it is really something that has to be experienced first hand, and the November 7 show at the Kool Haus was no exception.
Long live sloan!
It had been a here since I last saw Sloan in concert at the Kool House. Last night's concert was a confirmation of how this band keeps getting better and better. Chris's birthday may it even more special. To bad this time I wasn't able to share a portuguese kiss with Chris like I did at the Palais Royale. Can't wait to see you again.
Susy :)
Kick ass show! Everyone played really well, and what a lightshow! Best concert in a while...
It was 5 years ago today that I went to my first Sloan show. Since then I have the boys 16 times. Tonight's show at the Kool Haus was definitely one of their best. The crowd was awesome, and the boys seemed well-rested and very enthused.
The highlight of the night (for me anyways) was having Chris do a rendition of my favourite Sloan tune "Deeper Than Beauty" with special guest Chip Sutherland on the traps. I haven't seen them do that song since November 7, 1998 at the Palais Royale.
What a night! I still can't believe how great it was!
This show was great! Sloan kicks ass. I wish they would come back every week so that I could see them. They played all there good songs, old and new. I was at Edgefest and they did a great job but this performance was 10 times better. Overall, it was an amazing show and if they come back to Toronto anytime soon, you know i'll be there.
amazing show. the audience were so pumped like usual. it was almost like a 'greatest hits' show i loved it. okay now here's a question. if someone could post the set list or as many songs they can think of that they played. thanks!! we love you sloan.
the show was wicked, the rockstar lights behind ya were cool. dancin in the crowd was fun....
on a sidenote.... jay has the same guitar as my sister? come on jay you're bitin' her style :)
Wow, my first Sloan concert and IT WAS AMAZING! Wow is honestly all I can say. I had the time of my life. All my friends had already seen them in concert and they said they were good, but wow. We were right up front and center. I got one of the drum sticks from the show and Chris signed it after the show and he was great! Super polite and a genuinely cool guy. Sloan u guys rock! Thanks for a great show!
The show last night was decent. Not the best time I've seen them. I'm more of a fan of the older material, I guess. Some of the songs were sounding pretty nice last night, particularly Jay's. Overall, a very entertaining show, and a real treat for the mainstream crowd who came to drink beer and see some rock. I'll take a smaller club date with real fans anyday.
Great show!!
Can someone please provide me with a setlist for the night?
I'm particularly interested in the songs that Jay sang. Can someone please list the songs that Jay sang at this concert?
THANKS!!!

ps. my ears are still ringing.

that show was bloody incredible. it was good to meet you guys from the band and play hacki sack with you, and the show was worth waiting outside in the freezing cold for four hours. by the way, happy birthday Murph.
thank you guys for playing good music.
This concert was amazing! The guys had so much energy and really got the place rockin'! Chris did a solo of Deeper Than Beauty (my fav tune) - that was amazing. It was Chris's birthday - so we all got to sing him the classic tune to celebrate. Too bad it was the last show of the tour. :( Happy Birthday Chris!
I THOUGHT THE SHOW WAS A TOTAL BLAST, THE TUNES FROM BOTH BANDS KICKED ASS!!!
WE TOOK A COUPLE OF FOLKS THAT HAVE NEVER SEEN SLOAN LIVE , AND THEY ONLY HAD "ROCKIN'" THINGS TO SAY, THE NIGHT AS A WHOLE WAS A REALLY WICKED ROCK SPECTACULAR!!!! THANKS !
Yes, the show rocked! Much more energetic than the show at Mohawk (which was still good, don't worry!) Glad to see there are so many 'Deeper Than Beauty' fans out there--my fav song too. Happy B-Day to Murph--that was my shirt AND bra that made it onto stage. Just a quick note-the shirt was for Murph as it was his birthday, but as I adore Patrick, the bra was for him. Glad to see it made it onto his guitar, and waiting for the next show to give him the rest of the outfit!
3 days later and i'm never going to get over how amazing the show was.. by sloan and the high dials. it was my first sloan show and again, it was absolutely amazing. i liked the part where i threw the inflatible smiley face doll with arms and legs that landed in front of patrick. the show opened and closed with the perfect opening/closing songs heh. happy birthday again chris and the show was just too good or words. THANKS GUYS!
SLOOOOOAAAAAN..
The concert couldn't have been better (!!); great performances by all and totally worth the drive down from the Sault! The fancy coat Jay was sporting before he hit the stage was quite fresh! The new material sounded better than ever and like other fans who beat me to the reviewing, Deeper Than Beauty made the night... it has always been a personal gem. Thanks for another fantastic show... I couldn't have asked for anything more! Until the next time!
People seem to want a setlist. I don't remember the order they played stuff in-but they played all these songs:
People Of The Sky
Coax Me
Deeper Than Beauty
The Good In Everyone
Everything You've Done Wrong
The Lines You Amend
Come On Come On We're Gonna Get It Started
Money City Maniacs
Sensory Deprivation
Losing California
If It Feels Good Do It
The Other Man
Gimme That
Live On
Backstabbin
The Rest Of My Life
False Alarm
Nothing Lasts Forever Anymore
Ready For You
I Was Wrong
Reach Out
A good time was had by all.
I am so jealous! All you lucky fans posting your reviews. Well I wasnt' able to make it to any of the shows because I'm stuck in New Jersey.
Still, I keep checking the website and am repeatedly dissappointed that the tour schedule doesn't have anything about New York city! I'm dying over here.
Is it P Diddy? Are you guys worried that he still runs the city? What gives?
That was a amazing show we were front row right beside the speakers this is my second time seeing you guys live and u guys are awsome live thanks jay for coming down and slapping my hand hahahaha
The concert was awesome. Thanks for an awesome show and permanent hearing damage.
Hey!..i know im a little late with the post..but here goes anyway...that concert was AWESOME! SLOAN..U ROCK!!! I met awesome people and had a great time...that was the best show that I have seen sloan play..and hopefully it wont be the last time i see them!!!!!! ROCK ON!!!! .. p.s. happy birthday chris!!!
Great show..my brother took me for my birthday and it was asmazing. IM GLAD I WAS THERE TO HELP YOU CELEBRATE UR BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!
Love you guys, hope to see you soon
I've seen Sloan at the Palais Royale after Navy Blues (which they later made into a double live album) and at Kool Haus once before for the Pretty Together tour, and both times they rocked the house down.
Sloan has been my favourite band for as long as I can remember... and I finally got a souvenir. Chris threw a pick off the back of my head during one song when I went to say something to my friend, and the girl in front of me got it. But I got the last laugh, as I caught Chris Murphy's pick that he spit out of his mouth at the end of the concert. I used the pick to bless both my guitars at home in a ceremony that could only be described as "tear jerking". Nice, now both my guitars are blessed with the holy Murph water.
I had no idea that that show was exactly 5 years after they were at the palais royale, as I do recall it being Chris' birthday on the double live album (which rocks like hell).
Keep it going guys, you've made a lifetime fan here, and as long as you keep pumping out the albums and going on tour, I'll continue to buy all your CDs and attend all your Toronto shows.
I would just like to say that I really like your band always have always will. I have seen you all over the Canada Banff,Wasaga beach,Toronto. And I am hoping to see you and sam roberts in Monteral.
Thanx for your music keep it coming.
Hey...I was on the site cus I'm seeing Sloan tomorrow at the Kee and I got tickets to see Sloan for my birthday (November 8th) and the Sloan concert was the best concert i had ever been too. I was second row and in the centre...it was amazing. So thanks to Sloan for making that my best bday yet!!! xoxo
