I'm the first one? WTF?
One one to describe this show-----
unfuckingbelievable!!! or does that count for...? Ah well! Anywho the show was awesome guys!

I've been home for about 45mins and still can't hear a thing...Now thats a sign of an amazing rock show!
It was probably..No! DEFINITLY the best show out of the 3 I've been to, plus it made my night to meet and get pictures with all the guys..(Which will be coming soon!) I'm lost for words on how amazing the show was...You guys were super nice and great with all the fans, my friends and I almost didn't get to meet you but we cleverly got ourselves back into the building! :) What an awesome night one to definitly be remembered!
Thanks a million Chris, Patrick, Jay and Andrew! You guys rocked!! -Rica :)

P.S---Chris I heard that in an interveiw you had, they brought up that when you lick the microphone it drives the girls wild and everyone loves it. You responded with something like 'Yeah right' But just to let you know...it actually does and everyone *hearts* it!! It's AMAZING!!
hahahaha... Now everyone thinks I'm a disgusting pervert...Lol..But I' not...Really! :)

Fantastic show. Always a great time, but what happend to your best (in my opinion) album?! Last time I saw you, you only played 3 songs off Smeared and NONE this time! What's up?!?!

great show all 'round.

[Warning - old fart review]

There are 12 cicadas buzzing non-stop in my ears this morning. It was so loud, the air in the room shimmered and my pant legs flapped with the bass notes. It was great.

I got a backstage pass. Despite my hopefully short term loss of a broad range of frequencies, it was great being the kings of rows G, H and I - before the show kids (I mean kids) were hanging over chairs asking how we got the backstage passes. Rather than explain a long time ago I knew a Guy from a Library in Halifax and he and I both became lawyers, he representing Sloan, I a little web company called silverorange and one day I figured there might be something in an introduction...I said "we do Sloan's web page". Our coolness spread into portions of row J and was so intensely felt by one guy that he jumped into the row behind us and told us that he had seen Sloan four times so far this year, that he was in Kingston from U. of A. in Calgary for a conference and then told us a bunch of stuff using words I really didn't recognize but they were generally variants of cool. He was a fan.

We went backstage before and after, got a rock hug from Chris, talked about ear plugs with the grey Dads of the band and resisted the temptation to grab a beer and sandwich. Chatted about how I watched some of them in earlier incarnations Kearney Lake Road and Blackpool and felt like a dweeb later for being the needy guy but then not so bad as the Chris Murphy chickenburger vintage hoodie sparked a discussion of good stuff that included my 60's St. Pats High sweatshirt. The show was loud, loud, loud in line with the volume of the new records, Action Pact. Lots of high kicks, roadie exchanges of guitars each of I wanted to lick (the guitars not the roadies) and a ten foot-high flashing strobing arc of tube lighting behind them the width of the stage that confirmed I am not epileptic. "Losing California" was very good. They switched instruments around for "Sensory Deprivation" with Chris on drums, Jay on bass which got very loose but good loose. They started to play with us making us shout "hey" on the back of a bo-diddly beat between songs and later all crouch down quiet in our seats until a certain point in the song when we all had to jump up at the perfect rock moment. It was a big loud sing-song.

Photos here.

thanks guys
you clearly blew us all away
definitley a classic display on how rock and roll should be played
and thank you for getting me laid...

the maestro in the front row...

marko

p.s. see you guys in toronto....same spot...

tribal beats and kick ass harmonies. wicked show. we even got the 'gimme that' panties, and 'deeper than beauty' in the encore. doesn't get any better than that. but we seriously can't hear out of our left ears. regards, dave and cath.

What a great show, a prefect cure for a homesick Haligonian! Next time you play in Kingston please don't play at the grand theatre, it's cruel to have so much energy contained by security every 2 seconds!
Can't wait to see you guys again.

WOW!
...Amazing show.

...Really amazing encore.

...Really good song selection with lots of rockers (and no Smeared songs too...yahoo! - Underwhelmed would have been nice though).

This one goes out to those of you who know what rock and roll is about!!

I couldn't have imagined a better setting for an evening with Sloan than the small confines of The Grand Theatre. The band that almost single handedly carried me through high school blew me away yet again. Andrew flew around his clear blue kit like only he can, Patrick and Chris harmonized perfectly, and Jay rocked out in his Angus Young like style.

It's amazing how a band can make the crowd do whatever they want them to do and still come across as being the nice guys of rock.

I can't wait to do it all over again in Toronto in a couple of weeks.

SLLOOAANNNNN!!

Hey guys, you had us in the palm of your hands! Sit down! Jump up! Sing! Louder please! We'll do just about anything for SLOOOOOAAANNN!

Man oh man oh MAN!!! I know this is a late reply to the show ... but better late than never. I think this comment being posted months after the show really illustrates how ROCKIN' it was!! Oh my I still think about it. SLOAN rocks!! haha ... This was my first time seeing SLOAN and hopefully not my last. The lights, the band, the total energy in the Grand was amazing!! Really if I had to sum up the band in one word it would have to be ENERGY!! It's still pumping thru me! I love you guys! And the fact that you came out to the lobby afterwards to sign autographs and stuff really topped off the night.

Last Words - COME BACK SOON!!!
