Kickass show guys! I really missed underwhelmed, but oh well, can't have everything! Great way to cap off the show, If it Feels Good, Do it remains to be one of my favorite, rockinest Sloan tuens to date! Overall a great time. The beers are really hittin me now ;)
Strong show. Pretty consistent with the set list that I gather has been used throughout the tour. Excellent encore, featuring Deeper Than Beauty with Patrick on drums, and I am the Cancer -- a total surprise and, based on previous show reviews, played in place of Chester.
I've been going to Sloan shows since the beginning -- it's always enjoyable. Thanks to the boys for another good night. It feels good; that's why I do it.
All the new songs came off great!!! Decent mix with some older stuff too...unfortunately nobody even knew the classic hits let alone most of the new hits. Some wiseman once said, "It's not the band I hate it's their fans," that about sums up Sloan in Regina. Happy to hear Deeper Than Beauty and I am the Cancer...even though people seemed to be confused by that one...Anyways...great show and hope to see you guys back
The show was awesome, although I have to agree with the comment about the fans. I was also surprised to hear I Am The Cancer. That's among my top 3 favourite Sloan tracks. I would've like to have heard more of the oldies, but I'll take what I can get! I remember my first Sloan show back in '94 at the old student union building at the U of R. Sloan rocked then and they still kick ass today!
P.S. My boyfriend always thought Sloan was kind of wimpy. I dragged him to the show last week and now he's a new fan!
