Ok. um, lastyears concert F-ING RULED and I'm hopin this year I'll get to hear losing california! cause It was neglected to be played ! I definitely have high hopes and I know i for sure wont be let down!
one thing i know about ther rest of my life, i know that ill be livin it in CANADA!
What an amazing show! The guys are so great on stage and off. The quality of sound was awesome... and I couldn't believe that Chris actually did a backwards sommersault while playing! Thanks for the autograph and picture Chris!
Wow! The show was awesome... my ears are still ringing. I have to say, that this was probably one of the best Sloan shows I've seen yet (except that I had a tall guy in front of me). The energy was great, and The Lines You Amend was as amazing as always. I sure hope the lasagna eaters are die hard fans now. The best part was how the guys stuck around after the show to hang out and chat it up. It sure was Action Pact!
Just got home from the concert, and I must say, one of the best I've been to! Good sound, good times all around, hope ya come back soon!
Does anyone remember the name of the opening band? I thought they had some pretty good tunes and wanted to try acquiring a copy of their CD.
If anyone can help by sending me a link to their webpage or any info it would be greatly appreciated.
BTW guys, as always a rockin' show and you never let me down. Keep up the good work, definately Canada's best kept secret!!
For everyone else out there, DON'T pass up a chance to see these guys, SLOOOOAAAANNN rocks.
You'll regret every minute of not seeing them!
Proud to be a Canadian!!!
How long did the show run in total?
I was at the concert last night and it was awesome. The opening bands name is "Cuff the Duke". I bought the CD and its pretty good. When I first saw them on stage, I thought it was a local band but then they announced that they were from Oshawa, ON. I recognized the song called "Ballad of a Lonely Construction Worker". I heard this song once on Radiosonic and its very cool. There web site is cufftheduke.com.
Now on to better things....SLOAN ROCKED THE POST LAST NIGHT!!!! All the songs from the new CD sounded awesome. They played the songs exactly like the CD. Here is the set list (as best as I could remember it - and not in proper order):
The Good in everyone
Nothing Lasts for ever anymore
Rest of my Life
Ready for you
People of the Sky
Everything you've done wrong
The Other man
The lines you amend
I was wrong
Money City Maniacs
If it feels good do it
The concert was awesome but I'm surprised that not a lot of people showed up. I'm guessing that the Outpost was about 1/2 full (which is disappointing). Hopefully this wont discourage Sloan from returing to Thunder Bay in the future.
What a great line "One thing I know about the rest of my life I know that I’ll be Living it in Canada!!!"
