Thanks for the memories once again, boys. A fantastic show for an appreciative and well-behaved crowd. The new stuff really kicks live. One word of advice for Chris: next time, don't get so friendly with the mic stand. You don't know where that mic stand's been. (Oh no wait, yes you do. Never mind.)
What energy! Jay stole the show with his crazy antics not only behind the mic, but behind the drums as well. Thanks for the night, boys!
Great show last night!! The last time I saw you guys was in 2002 in Toronto when you opened up for Oasis. That was such a great show! It was nice to see you in my hometown. My ears are still ringing from last night so I know it was an awesome show! Thanks for coming to Winnipeg!
First of all thanx to Cuf the Duke, they won over the crowd nicely. Jay was great behind the drums. Liked some of the new tunes and the oldies were classic to hear live. 2nd time seeing you guys and it was great. Show was energetic and electrifying. Look forward to seeing you guys again.
I thought the show was awesome. Sloan rocked and Cuff the Duke was pretty cool too. Sloan has so many songs they could play but I think they had a good mix. My only complaint was that Chris didn't do enough high kicks. :-) Come back to Winnipeg soon!
Hey Guys...
Hmmm, don't remember seeing Jay behind the drums (is it possible that I blacked out for a bit there?)
Anyways, I enjoyed the show, I've seen you lads here 4 or 5 times now... real treats for me included 'Coax Me' and 'Chester,' it's really too bad you always have to play the hits...
I'd love to see you guys hit the road sometime and play really small places and play some of the more obscure songs... I want to hear 'Slow Songs' amd 'Marquee' and 'Sinking Ships' and 'Deeper than Beauty' and even 'Take it In' if you still remember it!
Always a great show guys, but remember: your long time fans aren't arena-rockers... we're former-shoegazing-pop-rockers...
Take care, we look forward to seeing you again,
~ Ty
Traveled 3 hours to see the show (yes, there are Sloan fans in North Dakota) and it was well worth it! The Action Pact material is fantastic live...it rocks hard! The lads' vocals, especially harmony, were spot on, in some cases sounding even better than on the album. Would have liked to hear even more songs, but I guess you can't have a 4 hour concert and you have to leave 'em wanting more. The boys seemed to have to tune up between each song (what...ya got some weird ass humidity in Winnipeg, or what?), but they played through like troopers and it didn't interfere with the music. Great show, I can't wait until they return.
I would have loved to go to this concert, i really really wanted to go but you had to be legal age please make the next one in Winnipeg for all ages and make it soon please
I'm in complete agreement with Tyler, I mean, how many times do we wanna hear the good in everyone, everything you've done wrong, people of the sky and money city maniacs? I've seen the sloan boys 7 times and they played these ones every time. I wanna hear never seeing the ground for the sky, friendship, at the edge of the scene, anyone who's anyone, snowsuit sound and sugartune!
other than that the show at the Colesseum was as good as any other, the action pact tunes were wicked live. Too bad Jay and Andrew only did 2 songs each.
