Great show really...too bad there wasn't a lot of people...well i guess it's quebec city... but still great set....i love the new album....

It was quintessential Sloan...a fabulously tight sound, a varied and interesting set, an energetic performance...all soured at the end by a sudden walk-off. As a result, I decided not to by the new disk after the show, which is unfortunate, because it seems like a great album.

Another great show, indeed. When the band showed up on stage, I was a bit worried as to what kind of performance they would give, since Chris had problems with his voice, and the band didn't seem too happy to be there (probably because of the small crowd). But after a couple of songs, they seemed to be enjoying themselves (and so were we!) and proved once again that they can rock. It's a bit sad that they had to stop playing in the middle of the encore (because of the venue curfew i guess) but still I was very happy to hear different songs than the ones they played the last time they were here, in August. I can't get enough of Sloan... ;)

Mmmmm! I'm was disapointed of the gig. I was saying to everybody "Sloan is the best band live". I was happy after the show to have only two person that i have to explain that, normaly, a sloan show is a way lot better than what we see. I only see a few moment, flash, of what a sloan show is supposed to be. I'm pretty sure i will not rememberd those moment, sadly.

For the last time in Québec city? too bad for us... to have a show like this... :(

I eard Sloan music for the first time on that show. Guitars distortion are much better on show that on albums. The live performance is much better.

I have to admit, I am a little disappointed. Patrick's strained voice can be excused, these things happen, but he pulled off all of the difficult notes (great job on reach out) and tried to get some momentum going.

For the most part, the guys just didn't appear as if they wanted to be there. I guess small crowds and venues can be something of a letdown, but are not to be used as an excuse for walking off stage before the encore is done. Kind of a shame considering I have seen them play 3 other shows and found them incredible. Here's to hoping I see another, better show from Sloan in the near future

What's wrong with this performance?!? I wanna know why the show was cut shortly after the first song of the encore...

Dont tell me its because of the little crown. It was supposed to be an energetic performance, but i did not find what i'm used to when I see Sloan live (I see them a couple of time)

You were partying the day before or what!!!

Oh good smonoee who loved it as much as I did! Great blog by the way, loved the phrase: visual feast that will give you obesity of the eyeballs from having so much eye candy.Totally appropriate multiple exclamation marks too!!
