Loved the show last night!
I worked all day then went to your show and then had an hour sleep and went in to work again for 3:30a.m.
I am so tired today but your show was sure worth it.
Last time I saw you I bought your blue shirt and your 4-album set and this time I bought your black shirt and the manager of Le Scratch gave me a small poster of you off of the wall. That was so cool.
Also, could you clear something up for me and my friend? Twice now we have seen a younger guy at the show that looks like Chris. Is he his brother?
You guys Rock!

What a great time we had last night at le scratch; soooooooo hung over at work today, but it was well worth it!!! There were a dozen or so of us that went (of course, we pre-drank while watching our beloved Leafs). I'd never seen the opening band before and in truth have only ever seen Sloan live only once before. The opening act was actually really good; they reminded me of a young clash-type band. Maybe somebody can e-mail me back and let me know who they were? Sloan absolutely kicked ass! The light show almost made my eyes fall out of my head!
I don't believe Chris has a brother. I don't think any of the Sloans have a brother. They all have sisters, save Jay, who is an only child.

Your show was awesome of course. I was glad to see you live again, especially in a smaller venue. Thanks for bringing some cool into the shwa. You guys play awesome live, I give you much respect for that. As well much respect for making music like no one else. Keep up the good work boys and remember - you've gotta play the velvet elvis! ;)
Hey everybody, good show, eh? My girlfriend and I have been fans for years but haven't made it to a show until now. I was blown away. What a great, fun, silly, talented bunch of guys. My fave part of the night for pure humour (as a guitarist I was in stitches) was when Patrick had the capo on the wrong fret! Sorry, Patrick, but I had to, man!
Seriously great set, although I did miss Underwhelmed... well then I shoulda gotten off my lazy ass years ago and seen these guys! I will certainly be there the next time they come around. One thing I did notice was that the crowd wasn't quite as "into it" as I thought they'd be. The sing-alongs were not very inspired. I'd be curious to know what the band thought...
Hey, about the phots... we didn't think to bring our camera, but I saw a few people taking MANY snaps. C'mon, you guys, post 'em up!
The opening band was TANGIERS who are totally great. They have a new album and record release due out in a week @ The Horseshoe Tavern. That's in Toronto.
About a brother of Chris, is he related to Matt Murphy in anyway. (he's from the Superfriendz).
The show absolutley rocked, boys!!! This was the third time that I have seen Sloan live, but I had never been that close to the stage before... Smaller venue shows definitely get my vote - especially ones close to home. Never thought that there would be a show in Oshawa by such an awesome band. Hope you come back soon!!!
well it's now october and this show was last april but still i feel compelled to write about it. the boys were back in ontario but even through feedback, they rocked the docks of oshawa. it was a weird venue (with heavily drunken preps and cougars galore) but still a great show. andrew even played 'sensory deprivation'. sweet ass. keep the LP's comin.
