Well i was at the show last night at the norva, i have to admit i went there for Jet but defenetly left there a huge sloan fan. You guys rocked. I think a lot of people feel the same way i do and im hoping that you guys will come back, and hopefully headline because jet had nothing on you (you actully had feeling).

I also liked the fact that chris and jay were at the merch booth talking to fans and signing autographs. Anyway guys keep doing your thing in the states and hopefully you will get more converts and will come play again at the norva. Really looking foward to future shows.

p.s. anyone have a setlist cause i wanna know what song everyone swithed up instruments cause chris ripped up those drums

Great show! Stuck to the rockers, I guess since they only had about 40 minutes. "good in everyone", "money city" and several from the Action Pact. Sound was good overall. The Norva is always quality sound.
I drove from Richmond to see the show. Last time I saw them, I had to drive to NC. Well worth it!!
Really could have cared less about Jet. They werent bad but Sloan definitely was the most impressive band.
Hopefully this tour will really get the ball rolling for Sloan in the states.
Come back soon!!!

Shaun, I don't have a setlist, but you might be thinking of Sensory Deprivation. They switch for that one, and it rocks.

hey shaun - "sensory deprivation" is the song where they all switched instruments. i snagged patrick's setlist, here it is:

ready for you
live on
the lines you amend
the rest of my life
money city maniacs
sensory deprivation
false alarm
good in everyone
gimme that
if it feels good do it

thanks for the guitar lesson, chris! you guys rocked last night as usual, good luck with the rest of the tour!

They shoot, They SCORE!

Canada has at least two things that it has given us that are truely amazing, those being the greatest sport ever (Ice Hockey of course) and a set of four musicians who play under the name Sloan. What can I say about these guys other than they rock there collective asses off. Kudos to our neighbors from the great white north.

OK enough of my 'editorial' of the show! Thanks guys for one hell of a performance. Chris it was good to talk to you after the show. We'll have to have you to Richmond to put a few biscuits in the basket. Have to wait on that until my arm is all healed up. Any time you are touring in the area let us know and we will make sure there is a big crowd. BTW Kim says just hang onto the Sharpie until next time!

Well, I must say, great show guys!!! I have to admit, I had never heard of you, and was there for Jet. (More for my husband then for me though). We weren't thrilled with The Everyones and when Sloan came onto the stage, we just looked at each other and said, just bring on Jet! But before we knew it, we were totally into the songs, amazed at the switch ups you guys did as far as who was singing, who played what instrument etc... And 3 songs into Jet, we left. We went to see a great rock concert and realized we saw that in Sloan! We talked about you guys the whole way home and are still talking about you guys. Within 24 hours, we had your CD's and are still intently listening to them!!! After seeing you guys, Jet was NOTHING! Just a bunch of lights and smoke. You guys have it! Just keep plugging away at it and come back soon! PLEASE!!!!!

You guys were too awesome Wednesday night! I like Jet, but I wouldn't have gone to the show if you hadn't been one of the opening acts! Me and my friends were in the front row singing along. We had so much fun, and I think you guys picked up a lot of new fans. Well, at least that's what I'm assuming judging by the huge crowd that had formed around your merch booth after the show. I loved talking to Chris about Rooney and such haha! Come back soon.

I just want to say thanks for a great show at the Norva. I had never heard or seen Sloan before the show but I left wanting more. Your set blew Jet off the stage. I'll be buying your new CD as soon as I can.

Well, I knew that Jet was going to rock that house, becaues a friend of mine who is a musician just raved about the Jet live show. The Everyones, well they just didn't fit with the flow of music at the Norva that night. I am pretty open minded but... So, when Sloan came on stage I was leary. However, after the first Sloan song I was hooked. This is what a rock-n-roll show is supposed to sound like, I thought to myself. Not sure if the guys noticed, but Nick from Jet was totally into the show. He was singing and rocking along at the side of the stage. Then Cam came out and was rocking also. I unfortuneatly had spent all of my cash at the Jet merch table, and by the time I got back down to the ATM to buy a Sloan album, the ATM had been turned off!!! Grrr!! Please think of coming back to the NORVA. It has a hot tub!! I am telling all of my friends about Sloan.

I had heard of you and dug the beatlesque (sp) sound you guys have on your albums, but my favorite Sloan songs were always the more rocking ones. My favorite being "The Good In Everyone." But when I saw you guys at the Norva, you guys redefined live music for me. I have seen a lot of live shows, several lollapoloozas, rock, county, whatever. I have never walked away from a show feeling the way I did that night. I was overjoyed, especially at how much you blew Jet away, I actually felt sorry for them. Please come back soon.
