Hey everyone, it looks like I'm first! Well, just a few hours ago my 14 year old self attended this awesome rock concert. Sloan blew everyone away like I knew they would, completely came up from behind everyone who didn't know their music. I went there KNOWING that they were going to kick some ass and my flittle 14 year old freinds were surprised I was right for once. Well, after the performance my tall friend and I went to go get some merch. I bought Action Pact and a tee shirt. Along with some Jet pins for my other 14 year old freinds who are too lame to be allowed to go to concerts. I talked to Jay awhile until I was whisked off to go listen to Jet. Who put on a pretty good performance. Shut up. They did.
The End. That was pointless, eh?
I was in the front row, in front of the guitarist with the HIWATT amp. Sloan really rocked my face off, unexpectedly. I want to know the set list, "Money City Maniacs" is the only really rockin song ive found so far, the others are slower songs. Also, that song where they switched up positions... is it a normal song or like a live jam thing? It lasted forever and totally rocked... I'd like to hear it again.
That song is
Sensory Deprivation and it is on
Between The Bridges..an Awesome record.
enjoy!
I was really impressed by Sloan at this show. It was the first time i had ever heard them. I had a great time at the show and thought i was over all a great performance. I bought the cd later and got it signed. Everyone was really nice, and i love the album! Thanks for such a great show and chance to rock out!!!
I live near Toronto and was in Myrtle Beach at the time of the Jet/Sloan/The Everyones concert. So, I went to the concert knowing Sloan already, and I knew most of the songs they played. All three bands were great but Sloan played by far, the greatest set. Their latest album, Action Pact is so great! I even got to meet Chris Murphy and he autographed my CD. It was definitely the greatest concert I have been to.
WOW. I went to see JET, never hearing SLOAN before. They totally impressed me so now I am a fan. Probably the oldest they have at 48!! The show was awesome...only wish they would play sometime closer to my back yard in Virginia. Pairing with JET was a wise move...kudos to management!! Great Show! Only wish I had brought my son (who is a drummer in a band) he would have loved it. Andrew rocked. Very talented. I will see them again if in the area!! Thanks!
What an awesome show- we travelled 5 hours from upstate SC just to see Sloan and it was totally worth the effort. The crowd up in the the balcony was mesmerized by Sloan's energetic and powerful performance and when the set finished, everyone was buzzing with compliments. When Sloan headlines in the south again, they'll prolly have to look for a larger venue than the 40 Watt or Ritz...
Way to go, guys! Y'all come back now, y'hear?
