Sloan

wooooooooow!! what a rockin show!! Sloan was in tip top shape. They blazed through there set like it was there last show ever....i'm getting hot just thinking about it!. The only minus was that i didn't get to be in there video (they have this real cutie filming all the shows on this tour...but I couldn't seem to find him...too bad I would've done anything to be in that video...anyway I loved when chris and Andy got up and played with the jets . Even though chris didn't seem to know the song he still looked really sexy. Oh yeah...Andrew is my favourite. Sllllllloooooooooaaaaaaan!

They did an awesome job, their set was great. Hope Sloan liked Florida ;)

omg sloan rocked so freakin hard last nite. they almost stole the spotlight from jet [who, let me add, kicked ass]. i would have pictures to show from the show except for the fact that security found the camera that i had hidden in my shirt.i was also bummed cuz after standing for fours hours in the front, i guess u can say row, everyone around me had caught a drumstick or a guitar pic except me. but my mood was lifted after i got chris to sign a poster for me. hes so cool, i mean i basically molested him by like jumping on him and hugging him and he didnt get all weirded out or anything [or at least didnt show it]. and i have to to say that when andrew and chris got up and played with jet, it totally rocked. i totally suggest everyone go and catch a show if u get a chance.

Wow! Sloan left quite a nice first impression on me! I wasn't expecting such an amazing band! They really know how to bring it and get the crowd goin'. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see them! I liked the switch-up about mid-show. The singer/bassist went to drums, drummer went to guitar and the guitarist went to bass! Obviously a very talented group. :)

Okay, had to say that I was SO PSYCHED that Sloan was back in Florida. I saw them in my town (Jacksonville) in a small club back in November 1999 on the BTB tour, and they were awesome. I expected nothing less, but got SO MUCH MORE! That had to be the most incredibly ROCKING Sloan show I could imagine. To me, they blew the other two bands off the stage, and they completely won over the crowd. The opener before Sloan, the Everyones, are an Australian band who at first, to me, seemed to suck, but completely won me over by the end of their set - they were really cool, experimental pop-rock, and kind of quirky. Then Sloan comes out to a mostly polite, sporadically crazy response, and by the end of their set, the place went absolutely insane! Sensory Deprivation was NUTS! I thought it was quite hilarious that Chris kept losing his glasses back there behind the kit. Overall, everyone was in excellent voice - the strongest I've heard them sing live - and they played wonderfully. Then Jet took the stage, and it was bedlam. It was certainly their show - they had the cooler light show and the cleanest sound (though everyone sounded good, surprisingly...kudos to the sound engineers at HOB Orlando - you guys kicked ass!). The funny thing was, although they were rocking and really exciting to watch, they didn't fire me up like Sloan did. I think it's just their youthful swagger and lack of humility that kind of keeps me from being a full-fledged Jet freak. I love "Get Born", and they really kicked ass, but by the encore (when Andrew and Chris came out and played), I was done with them. I was BEGGING for more Sloan when they finished. It was nice to meet the guys, though. It was cool that they were so accessible. I'll never forget the Jacksonville show - Chris coming down the line saying, "Hi, I'm Chris, thanks for coming..." Well, thanks, Sloan. I loved it. Don't be shy about coming back to Florida - you're welcome anytime!

OMG!!!! You guys were great! I mean, TOTALLY Awesome! It was incredible how HARD you guys rocked! You guys kicked total Butt! If you guys are ever in town again, let me know! Pronto! I live in Orlando, Florida! Rock On!!!!! SSSSLLLLOOOOAAAANNNN!!!!!!!

I was at this show, and it was the first time I had seen or even heard of Sloan. Can anyone tell me the names of the songs they played? I am interested in hearing more, and there were a few songs in their set that I really enjoyed and want to purchase.

THEY WERE F***ING AWESOME. i would have paid the 24 bucks just to see them. even though i came to see jet this was the first time i have even heard you guys play. so i must say that the next cd that i buy will be by Sloan. and while im at it, since i have never heard of you guys, no offense, but whats the name of your cd. i want to try and get as many as i can. thanx for the hellish good time and thanx for rockin' your guys' heart out. and another question. when will you guys be in orlando, even if it's not for about a year. please be answer my question, thanx
