I have been waiting to see you in Arizona for a long time. I hoping to hear some old stuff (chester the molester, On the Horizon), as well as the new. This will also be my girlfriends first time seeing sloan live. I tried my best to prepare her for an awesome show, by making her listen to sloan everywhere we go. I have also had her practice the chant... SLOOOAN SLOOOAN SLOOOAN. Hope you guys have fun here.

This was a momentous occasion for AZ/NM Sloan fans. For many of us it was the first time to ever see Canada’s best export in the flesh. I for one was overwhelmed. What was totally cool was the set list. It was a smattering of their entire catalogue. The hits just kept coming. You Canadians are lucky! You get to see these guys whenever they play around there. I'll be flying up there to catch another show, some day. Thanks for coming through Tempe! True fans live here, too.

Oh my gosh, Sloan was in AZ?!?!?! AND I MISSED THEM?!?!?! NOOOOOOO. THis cannot be happening this cannot be happening...I have been waiting for YEARS!!! I'm Sloan's #1 14 year old fan in AMERICA!!! YOu have to come back!!! YOU HAVE TO!!

Thank you guys, again, from the bottom of my heart for stopping by our sweltering desert. You treated us to the most intimate, rocking, amazing live show that I have had the privlege of seeing in a LONG time. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to be there. In addition, you are so patient and kind to your fans. Thanks for indulging me/us with "Everything You've Done Wrong." If you come through again, and need someone to do free publicity for you, I'm your girl! I love you guys!!!

Please, I missed you guys, I had no idea you were coming!!! I have to see you, please come back next year, I know lots of hard core Sloan fans in AZ. Next time you are here, PLEASE PUBLICIZE!! I. Am. CRUSHED. That I missed you!!! You've got to come back!!!

I'm a Phx transplant from Detroit, and this was my third time seeing the band--the first in AZ! Thanks for coming down, guys.

While I am disappointed that there wasn't more people, I'm grateful that my wife and I got to hang out after the show. Mike Nelson, the tour manager, was great--friendly and gracious.

My wife told Chris about some middle-aged drunk guys being obnoxious at the front of the stage before the show and he apologized afterwards for it!

Later, we stood outside the tour bus and talked with Patrick about the Portugese festival in the park near his house, about America after 9/11, and all the benefits of having Canada as our (albeit often ignored) conscience. Some random guy came up hoping to catch a late show and asked who played. We replied, "Sloan." He asked, "Were they any good?" and Patrick quipped, "Eh, they were alright."

The show itself was high energy, and everyone--especially Chris, whose glasses keep slipping down his nose--worked up a sweat. Chris came out before the show and asked for requests. After shooting down most of ours in a good-natured manner, they ended up playing several of them, including mine: The Marquee and the Moon.

I'm disappointed there was nothing from Smeared or Twice Removed (one of the drunk middle-aged guys who later left in a stagger to puke tried to get the crowd to join him in chanting "Underwhelmed." While tuning for the next song, Jay put his finger to his lips in an understated "sush" to keep the guy quiet and it actually seemed to calm him down.

They did an extended encore and signed autographs afterwards. All in all, a great show with a great band and down-to-earth, friendly guys.

WOW is all I can say. I can't stop thinking or telling people how amazing this show was. I have been waiting 7 albums to see them-FINALLY. Chris said they were here twice before, I can't even figure out how I missed those shows. No matter, I am so grateful they came through AZ, especially since it was a show without Jet. If someone could please post the setlist-trying to remember all the tunes. Thanks to the guys for being gracious to sign my Chart Magazine. Arizonians can love Canandian Content too! Patrick said there were two Canadian rock publications but in my starstruck stammer, I forgot to ask him what the other was. Show was best I have seen in years, wishing for more-please come back soon!!!
