I can't wait for this show. It's been two years since Sloan has played Boston. The new record is amazing, and the hits are always better live!

I can't wait for the show either. Email me if you want to hang out with me there and drink beer.

Last night's show was nothing short of fantastic. From the flourescent strobes to Chris' "drumming contest," once again Sloan delivered. Though the majority of the set featured songs from their new (though most of us have had it for a year) album 'Action Pact', they still managed to blast out some of our old favorites ('Coax Me', 'Marcus Said', 'The Lines You Amend', 'She Says What She Means', 'People of the Sky')

I have seen Sloan about 13 times now (mostly in the Detroit/Windsor area) but this was no unlucky show: These guys keep on entertaining. It's great to see an east coast appreciation for them...

Great Show fellas... Can't wait to see you again...

A great time, as usual. Really one of the best live bands on Earth (and beyond).

Amazing show last night at the Paradise. The gents in Sloan always seem to leave it all on the stage for us Bostonians, and last night was no exception. The material from the new album (Action Pact) was really huge-sounding live...pure rock power. The older material was, of course, excellent. The one thing which is always apparent when watching Sloan is that they enjoy playing and interacting with the crowd. These guys are, and have always been for real. Long live Sloan!!

A year ago, a friend included “So Beyond Me” on a mix CD of must-hear music from bands that ought to be more well-known here in the States. After that, there was no turning back until I’d caught up on over ten years of missed Sloan recordings, up to the excellent “Action Pact.” These guys ROCK and just keep getting better. Last night’s show was the first time I saw them live and they were amazing! Can’t wait until they’re back in Boston. Did I really hear Chris say “see you this summer??”

So I decided to take a field trip to see Sloan in Boston, a quick trip from Montreal. Going through customs I was asked what my business was in Boston, I said "Rock and Roll!!!!!"....I don't think that was the answer they were looking for. Well I nearly didn't get to the show but I lucked out. The boys put on yet another fantastic show and I had a great time, it was also super cool chit-chatting with the boys before and after the show. When the set list was finished there was a bit of silly jammin' and the audience was all about singing at the top of thier lungs to a few Navy Blues staples like "Chester the Molester" and "She Says What She Means".
I'm already stoked for my next dose........... ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!

"See you this summer"......my buddy from Marblehead called me today about going to see Jet at the Hampton Beach Casino in New Hampshire....with Sloan slated as the opening act. I have a feeling that may very well be what "See you in the summer" means.

In case you're wondering, it's July 11th, which is a Sunday night, and as of yet, tickets are not on sale.

Thanks Joe! And if anyone else has info about this July show w/ Jet, or Sloan's summer plans in the Northeast, please post it. After Tuesday's show, I'm more than willing to travel all over the country to see this band -- but closer to home would be a lot nicer.

Voilà the Jet tour dates w/Sloan http://www.jettheband.com/jet/tour.asp

It would be hot to have a few dates in Canada added (with Jet as the openers, haha).
